The Elon Musk Twitter shitshow

So the argument is they refreshed too much? Lol
The argument is they created an account to follow only 30 neo-Nazis and several advertisers. Then refreshed like crack monkeys until they could create a screenshot they could share and pretend that was something that would happen to anyone.

It was deliberately manufactured outrage, for the purpose of defaming the company. You don’t have to go far to find people who fell for it…

The thing is Media Matters concocted this stuff to deliberately harm X.

Problem they have is everything digital is easily tracked, so it’s trivial to show how they manipulated things to frame their fake news:

The suit claims:

Exactly. But it happened, and could easily have happened the first time based on people’s engagements. Good luck with that one in court, Elon 😆.

No, it couldn’t.
That’s the point of the suit.

Even creating an account that only followed 30 neo-Nazis and the advertisers they still struggled to make it create the association they sought:

The truth bore no resemblance to Media Matters’ narrative. In fact, IBM’s, Comcast’s, and Oracle’s paid posts appeared alongside the fringe content cited by Media Matters for only one viewer (out of more than 500 million) on all of X: Media Matters. Not a single authentic user of the X platform saw IBM ’s, Comcast’s, or Oracle’s ads next to that content, which Media Matters achieved only through its manipulation of X’s algorithms as described above.

I can’t imagine the type of gullible rube that takes Elon Musk’s word as unquestioned gospel. Trumpanzees and Musk bitchboys keep loving their serial liars.

Nobody will need to in a trial.
Evidence will be introduced.

From Musk’s point of view the courts are the best forum for him to prove Media Matters was tricking gullible rubes into believing that neo-Nazi content was being paired alongside major advertisers.

Did any gullible rubes start threads on this forum after getting tricked by Media Matters media manipulation?

This thread is weird. I agree that X is now awful and Musk sucks. I quit X months ago, life went on just fine. Why do you still use it and then post tweets here? There are plenty of other places to get the info on X.

I like to keep an eye on it so I know when the next coup will go down. We should all be worried about X becoming an open sewer of hatred.

Extraordinary manipulation such as this and refreshing...

First, Media Matters accessed accounts that had been active for at least 30 days, bypassing X’s ad filter for new users.

Elon Musk has sued Media Matters for defamation because they told the truth about how easy it is to make ads on X display next to Nazi content.
I remember when Dateline showed ‘how easy it is’ to make a truck blow up, they just forgot to mention strapping fireworks to it.

Are you parroting this bit about ‘how easy it is to make ads on X display next to Nazi content’ without having read the complaint itself detailing how this only happened to the account they manipulated to make it happen - and not to any actual users?

They’re not reporting. They’re deliberately going to extremes to create a data point relative to no one outside their ‘experiment’, and then feed it to the media as if it were news and happening to actual people.

And you fell for it.

I refuse to believe they were advertising in the first place based on the # of crappy Chinese product ads I get
