Agreed ... Comments like this, fans just knowing we won't even try anything with less than 15 seconds, etc are nutshell reasons why so many are ready to turn the page.
that chaotic lamar jacksonesque scramble for a near TD that sowed chaos in the mizzou D. such plays must be avoided.
Very entertaining first half. Offense was great. Defense struggled in the first quarter, but since has forced 2 punts. Sullivan, Wetjen, and Moulton vying for game MVP honors.
Means, he needs to not try to force things or makes passes that aren’t there. Don’t try to do too much. He is doing really well right now and doesn’t need to carry the team to victory.
Now we know why they really went portal shopping, he’s definitely going to miss a few games next year as well.

He was obviously supposed to throw a bad pick instead of holding onto the ball while running all over the field and getting to the 6-inch line that set up Iowa's last TD.
KF is so out of touch with QB play and offense. Like, its beyond comical.
And that near TD is exactly what KF is referring to. He didn't like Stanzi stuff either.
A question for all of you. In the middle of the 2nd qtr when the hawks had moved to ball to midfield we had a Jazz run for 4 and a moulton run for 4 and that left us with 3 and 2 from the Mizzou 41.
I was sure expecting some type of run play as the hawks had had really good running success. Instead we threw the ball. and it was a tough route to throw to a quick slant out.
Did Lester and Kirk overthink that 3rd and 2. Just run the friggin ball and pick up the 2 yards or make it 4th and very short.

I am sure KF didn't love the huge hit he took at the goal line. The alternative is who? Jackson Stratton? Not ideal.

A criticism of him going into the season was he wasn’t physical. He’s definitely changed that opinion

As someone already said pages ago, should have been 2 straight runs on that 3rd and 2 (if necessary).
Don't mind the "catch 'em off guard" thinking, but as you said, it was overthinking it at the time.

Surprise surprise Kirk… a mobile QB makes less forced errant throws if they can pull it down and run up the field. You would think he would figure this out after 26 years.

Too much shotgun especially with the center being injured. Sullivan's noggin paid the price, but there will be more poor snaps in the 2nd half.

Beathard - Stanzi - Tate - Banks - remember them? it’s not an issue of figuring it out - it’s an issue of recruiting among other things - but calling Ferentz ignorant of the merits of a mobile qb is…ignorant.
Love it when they drive them off the field, reminds me of the Sherriff!
Handing the ball off on your own 20 with 15 seconds to play is not exactly something to screech about. The same people in their next written post would have fried him if the ball was picked off. Playing within himself can also mean he needs to let plays develop and not take off right away.
