At the very best, you can argue that he is only referring to Omar and wasn't referring to the women born in the US. So he was telling a US citizen that she needed to go back to Africa, a place she left when she 10 years old. That seems like a good tweet to people?

Not everyone needs to go to college. College isn’t necessary for employment. We already have state subsidized college. It’s not necessary to take out large student loans to go to college. There are many need based and merit based scholarships available. The reforms necessary to fix some of the issues in the system are not paying off people’s loans or paying for every business that decides to call themselves a college.

So you are using the popular FoxNews driven nomenclature (I.e. socialism) for advocating using public funds on social programs. She’s not actually advocating that the government take over the factories.
I find this argument interesting. A discretionary spending for military will exceed one trillion if you count all the departments and no one says a thing. But someone calls for the redistribution of that budget for investment in the health, education and welfare of the populace and you are branded a socialist.
So not a trade school. A university that is corrupt and innept and yet have no problem telling other families how they should be run?
I agree that not everyone needs traditional college. But we both know most everyone needs schooling beyond grade 12. That’s all part of the “free college” debate too. Don’t let the details of any plan turn you off from the issue. Support more public access to education and stop pretending it will lead to tyranny and the death of millions.
