The Racist In Chief in full MAGA mode this morning

Nope. I despise racism, white nationalism, and Trump.

But his correct point here is: The reps he is talking about came from places that could benefit from their alleged leadership much more than where they came to (the US). Why did they come here, instead of leading there?
Omar?

Acknowledged. Born in Somalia

Tlaib?

Born in Detroit.

Cortez?

Born in New York City.

Pressley?

Born in Cincinnati.

Who are THEY Trump references?

Well shit, you could say that about every immigrant that came to America. Plus Somalia isn’t really receptive to female leadership or leadership in any manner

Why do you think this is a good point? Only one of them came to the US when she was 10 you know. Or did you know? Now that you do know, do you still think you are making a good point?

I also find that troubling, much like how I find it troubling that Steve King waves around the confederate flag.
Troubling. It could be argued that they wave around their respective flags because each feels “their people” are under attack. And that alone doesn’t bother me. So then it becomes “who is their people and are they under attack with some type of reasonable justification?”

In the case of Israel/Palestine it is really complicated.

Has any other president or even party leader publicly suggested American citizens should leave the country? For any reason? Never mind reason being political?

Also, once again HROT, being critical of Israel is not an act of antisematism.

I find it troubling that any US rep would think their people were represented by either flag.

Not as a blanket rule. But, it can be. Hence David duke supporting Omar.

Generally speaking, I liken Omar and tlaib talking negatively about Israel as similar to a white person constantly focusing on what ails the black community and suggesting “helpful” solutions. It’s code.

JFC Donald. All you had to do is sit back and watch the democrats go after each other. It was a golden situation for the republicans.

Then you went full moron. Wtf are you thinking. Seriously this has to be the most moronic thing he has done. Inserted himself into the argument to give them something to unify behind.

His entire staff and campaign should quit and everyone should tell him that no one will work for him as long as he has that twitter handle

I agree that not everyone needs traditional college. But we both know most everyone needs schooling beyond grade 12. That’s all part of the “free college” debate too. Don’t let the details of any plan turn you off from the issue. Support more public access to education and stop pretending it will lead to tyranny and the death of millions.

The current proposals are to forgive personal loans in a blanket manner and to just pay for college (whichever). That’s a huge amount of money, and completely federalizes college education, including currently private institutions. Sounds like a step to tyranny and the death of millions.

Are you familiar with the parable about the scorpion and the frog

If you disagree with what he posted, you are racist and hate this country. Not surprising to see what I've seen from my leftist friends in here.

But doesn't it also unify Republicans? The question would then be, who benefits more?

Well, the current agenda seems to be “trump’s an idiot, let’s do socialism.”

I agree with the former and not the latter.
I knew Trump was going to be a terrible president. Turns out he was worse than I ever expected.

I don’t care for most of the Democrats running, but I’ll take ANY of them over Trump.

That is not the totality of the proposals. Some have us paying for just community college. Some include vocational training. Some only state universities. If cons agreed that we needed to expand public education, they would have a say in how that legislation looked when it is finally passed. But getting pissed because the most radical proposal exists will just lock you out of the debate just as it has with healthcare.

It doesn’t gain support. He loses a % of Republicans when he does it. I don’t know that %.

Let’s get Biden in with a GOP senate and congress for 1 term

His approval ratings among Republicans is at an all time high, or at least he tweeted that it is.

Besides, I thought his appeal was that he speaks his mind and tells it like it is.

It's also got the anti immigrant theme which is another winner with his followers. It seems people are also interpreting it as anti-socialism, which is another huge fear for his followers that Trump can protect them from.

Plus he's targeting the right people in Congress for his followers. I think he knows his base well and did well with these tweets.

See. This is where things are difficult for me. None of the candidates represent my viewpoints. Republicans and libertarians are more likely to represent my viewpoints than democrats on issues I consider most germane.

When Trump was elected, I thought he represented an existential threat to a party existing that purports to support small government, decreased spending, and individual freedoms and responsibility. I.e., classical liberalism.

Why?

Because trump says xenophobic things. It irritated the hell out of me that his primary platform had one issue (wall). It pissed me off that the media covered him almost exclusively in the primary season and didn't go negative on him until he won the primary.

Because Trump had a poor understanding of how elements of gov work (e.g., the supreme court) based on his statements during the campaign.

Because Trump engaged heavily in double speak. He changed positions four or five times in one interview I listened to during the primary season.

Because Trump is not presidential. He is crass, mean spirited, and rude.

Because Trump is a big government, populist and many of his policy ideas overlap with Bernie Sanders. He was a democrat.

I still think he is a threat.

Thus issue for me is who is the bigger threat?
