The joes places and Kenneth Griffiths of the world are hanging on for dear life that it continues. Covid gave meaning to their lives. Lockdowns, masks, and a feeling of superiority when seeing others not following the rules has made them feel relevant.
I’ve had the vaccines you clown. Maybe actually read the post you’re replying to.
The "well educated" are as much, if not moreso, culpable in creating these social echo Chambers of divisiveness.

One of the people, who interacts face to face with a fraction of the people a "normal" person interacts with and is incredibly isolated got covid twice, with multiple boosters.

I think it’s a ridiculous idea that a for-profit public forum for discussion can somehow be simultaneously a venue for free exchange of ideas and also fact checked in any timely, meaningful, fair and accurate way. If we could somehow invent such an even-handed arbiter of truth, it would be a monumental human achievement.

Here's the difference...if Clinton had anything to do with what Epstein did I am 100% for him getting the worst possible punishment. No matter what crimes Republicans commit, a helluva lot of their followers dismiss it. Huge difference between the 2 parties that people like you can't grasp. I am on record as saying I didn't vote for Clinton the first time because I knew he was a serial cheater before the vast majority of America did.

The issue isn’t the platform, it is the number of morons in this country (on both the left and the right) whose lives are totally consumed by politics and who actively seek out garbage content. If it isn’t twitter, these people will just go to some other platform that will feed them some other half-truth (at best) to get outraged about.

That's not what's going on though. Twitter, like pretty much every other community on the internet frowned upon its usage and they generally have rules against it. I doubt that changes. What happened is that Musk talked about more free-speech -- and that was mostly in response to some heavy handed twitter moderation tactics -- and that spiraled into this worry that twitter will have no rules over speech anymore and it'll be a free-for-all.
And so then you get the trolls and trouble makers checking to see what they get away with and all freaked out progressive looking for signs of said free-speech apocalypse.
And you didn't indicate what order you got infections in AND acknowledged you did NOT get a booster, which helps minimize infection risks against the new variants.
You OBVIOUSLY did not get the updated vaccine. Which targets those variants.
Prior infection against other variants has NOT protected people against Omicron, either.
I've actually paid attention to social media and twitter for a while.
Look, you have to see past some hand-wringing that's inevitably going to be produced by the group that loses their toy to a guy that doesn't -- gasp -- agree with them on everything. There's been a giant stupid overreaction around the topic like. (like just about everything else these days)

He laid off the data engineers today, so maybe he's not interested in using the data for what they always have. Generally you'd want to have that knowledge around for a while. The whole thing is fascinating.
