I for one would be down for doing a Thanksgiving meal once a month. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Since I didn’t get to cook mine this year either, I might doing the same this weekend…I didn’t get a traditional thanksgiving dinner this year so I’m doing that, but the turkey will be smoked.
Never had them. Lived here for a combined 30 years, but spent the first 15 in WI so I have bratwurst fat and cheese running through my veins. If you ain’t making ham balls, you ain’t an Iowan.

I make some killer hamballs. You will say to yourself....where have you been all my life.
Underrated Christmas snack food: homemade Chex party mix. I founder on that stuff once a year. We double up on the butter and seasoning.
Also: homemade eggnog. (I use makers mark, skip the rum) That stuff is godlike.
Preach.Yep.
Double the Worcestershire if that’s not included in your seasoning above.
We are doing tic tac toe Italian other than dessert.
Caesar
Scampi
Spaghetti and homemade meatballs
Garlic bread
Asparagus w prosciutto

Snacks - Chex, Garrett’s popcorn, meat and cheese

Wut. Freeze Chex?Biggest debate in our house is room temp Chex or straight out of the freezer?
Why in the f!ck would you freeze Chex mix? I like it best hot out of the oven.Biggest debate in our house is room temp Chex or straight out of the freezer?

The horseradish sauce is a must! It’s not terrible. It’s overrated though.
Usually make day before. Perhaps warm up in oven. I will consider your strange techniqueAbsolutely. Make it ahead of time. Freeze some.
Straight out the freezer w 10 mins to sorta warm up - try it.

What monster in life taught you to do this? Make it fresh.Best out of oven. Make Chex at Thanksgiving and freeze it. Pull it out for XMas.
Trust me on this. Put a small batch in the freezer and let me know.

Not all prime ribs are created equal. You need to start with a quality piece of meat, season it properly, and then slow roasted until it is a nice medium rare to medium. I love a prime rib that is tender, juicy and flavorful. Me and my family will be having prime rib for X-mas.I’ll take it further than Torb. Not only is it overrated, it’s not good.

Smoking a couple of pork tenderloins , And a couple of soups
It's better this way, James.I have zero point zero chance of having any say in the menu.
Mother in-law who is gone now would do barbecue chicken, potato salad and green bean casserole. So in honor of her that is what we are doing.
Sorry I didn’t mean to say smoked soupsTell me more about smoked soups...
This is an intriguing idea though.Sorry I didn’t mean to say smoked soups
Have the recipe. I get 30 day aged filets and perf it every time.Northwestern steakhouse style?? Man. Now I’m hungry.
Really depends for me. 90% of the time it's underwhelming, but there have been a few times where I'm like "wow" this is amazing. Mostly underwhelming though. It’s not terrible. It’s overrated though.
