Wirfs OWI ?

Your going to feel like jumping in a fire if he is in fact correct. No saying he is, and hope he isn't.

First of all, who is he? Second of all, it’s beyond lame to post like he did and leave it wide open. It’s a classic troll tactic. If he does know something that, so far, nobody else anywhere has mentioned, then spill it. Otherwise, gtfo.

Sounding like his post is starting to gain some traction in the rumor mill. Snyder may be gone.

Wow, that's funny.

I would say the season is here ... This is not the middle of December ... This is football season ...

I get your point. In reality there really is no off-season, they are conditioning/training year round. But to your point, the punishment generally is the same no matter what time of year it is. Snyder got his legal trouble when he was unable to play (second ACL injury). He didn't get to go on the bowl trip. Jackson was suspended for the bowl game due to his infraction. My guess is that Wirfs gets the one-game deal as well.

I can appreciate the narrative they are just young college kids. However, when you are a Div 1 athlete playing football at the University of Iowa ... and the football season is under way ... and you are a part of that program ... and a starter for the team ... well, to get an OWI is simply stupid ... Give him a 3-game suspension (minimum) ...
And under age!

It's always nice during one of our big recruiting weekends the recruits and their parents are waking up Sunday morning to read about our starting RT in the dam drunk tank.
I really doubt this would curb anyone from enjoying their visit or choosing Iowa if that was their choice. The young man made a mistake, for which he will pay a price. Something that goes on at every college campus. If the parents and players have ANY interest, it will be in how this is handled by the staff, and by TW. We pretty much know what the coaches response will be, and it will be appropriate and in line with long standing KF policy. Another benefit to having a coach here for so long, who is consistent and unwavering.

Here in Missouri, 50cc mopeds are considered motorized bicycles. No Helmets, motorcycle license, registration, or insurance required. Iowa should consider doing the same.....

He (Snyder) had an OWI in Dec '17 that hasn't been dealt with yet game suspension wise, right? Any additional "misconduct" would certainly be dealt with severely by KF.

Injured again or violating "team rules"? I assume there's nothing in terms of criminal activity or this would be publicly available.
Not injured, something else but source didn't know for sure. Also hearing another OL could be suspended, stay tuned. OL could be one of the other players that were on moped with Wirfs....fall camp needs to get here soon!

No, referencing him referring to someone else making bad decisions.

What were his bad decisions? Firing two lesbians that no one could stand to be around? Should he have ignored the complaints from players and parents regarding her treatment of the players?

The firing probably wasn’t the issue. Incompetence in the documentation of the firings was the issue?

I have no huge issue with Barta. I think he actually does a pretty good job over all, but he screwed that one up, and it cost millions of dollars.

And what you guys don't get is that trial was decided at jury selection. In a place like Iowa City, there was no way in hell that verdict was shaking out any other way. He could have crossed ever T and dotted every I and it wouldn't have mattered. It is the world we live in today. If you hire somebody like either of those hags, you are stuck with them until they decide they don't want to be there anymore and then they will probably sue you for a hostile workplace.
