****2024-25 Chicago Bears Thread đź’©****

Let's not forget his behavior leading to his rookie contract......not wanting to hire an agent, not understanding that his attorney couldn't negotiate a contract for him, not wanting to be subject to the 5th year option. He takes a beating, I'll give him that.....which is good, because it'll ultimately be what his NFL career will be made up of.

Caleb has great tools to be a successful NFL QB.
The Bears can turn it quickly with a alt-type tackle(Campbell from LSU) along with the rest of their high picks and 80 million cap space.

Glad they are competitively close but moving up draft board as well
Patience boys....once Caleb gets them over the hump it will be a Chiefs-like run for a decade.

Nothing he tried to accomplish with his contract should be considered diva-ish or remotely close to poor "behavior". That's just asinine

A rookie not signing a rookie contract because he thinks he shouldn't be subject to the 5th year option is a diva move. It doesn't matter though, he's not good and won't even have the success that Rex had.

Annnnd that tells me all that I need to know about you on this subject. Good talk

The Bears had 179 yds of offense & put up a whopping 3 points last night.

Tory Taylor punted 7 times for 327 yards (46.7 yds/punt average; his long was 50 yds). 5 of the 7 punts were inside the 20.

If we get a decent head coach and improve the OL to average I'm confident Caleb will be great. I don't like his diva attitude, but he has a fantastic arm and is mobile enough.
I don’t find anything he has said all season to be diva like. All reports are that he freaking hates losing. He’s definitely a tough kid. All the sacks and they’ve affected him minimally. Poles has to give him at least 3 guys to block for him. His plan for oline has failed miserably outside of Wright.

For starters, when he was at USC, he demanded ownership in whatever team were to draft him.

He was all about ME in college and I don’t see any changes.
This was debunked as having never came from Williams. Dad maybe but it's not accurate.

He gets a lot of crap about his sideline demeaner. Throwing his head back, laying on the bench on his side when things aren't going well. Not saying it's warranted but that's where most of it comes from I think.
Laying on his side?? WTF would you have done after that hit?!?!

He’s already had a better statistical season than Rex ever had, or came close to. I guess you miss the 3 and 4 pick games.

Just answered a question, he gets a ton of crap on twitter for things like that is all I was saying. Personally I don't see it as any different then other NFL players doing things on the sidelines.

I know that the team was defense-heavy, but Rex QB'd the team to the Super Bowl. Winning the NFC is success that I don't see Caleb ever having.

You must have missed USC's loss to Notre Dame last year...
Ahh yes, #1 bears hater checks in.. so being a mama's boy makes you a diva apparently.

You had the biggest diva in nfl history on your team.. how was his relationship with his parents?

There’s nothing in my fandom that pisses me off more than watching Packer QBs throw up BS passes that end up being complete. Even a shitty backup does it. This has been a 30 year entity.
Like that jump ball on 3rd and long?
F me!

I’m smelling something else that’s a little stale right now.
This is why we can’t have nice things.

How many picks that cost the Bears? Beating green and yellow (twice really) this year doesn't mean much only winning 5 games.

Packers played today like they really didn't want to be there. They seemed totally disinterested much like their past few previous games. I'd be surprised if they win a single playoff game.

Exactly. They always pull make chicken salad out of chicken crap against Chicago.

At least we should be confident we have a franchise Quarterback. Pretty damn solid rookie numbers. His INT streak should still be going. Too bad he got it last week trying to make anything happen on the last play.

Caleb always makes big throws. He's a stud when they let him be. Happy for Thomas Brown to beat the Packers. So happy this season is over

They gave him some skill players, but failed to give him a line. He needs four new starters for next season. Then we will see how good he can be.

I agree. With Moore, Odunze, Kmet, Swift, and if Allen comes back they are fine at the skill positions. NEED OLine desperately.

Edit: which means that Poles will likely draft a WR
