Ben Kueter

I know it’s freestyle but last year Trephan wrestled Hendrickson at Nationals. Trephan got two early takedowns pretty early then Wyatt countered with a TD and ankle laced him like 30 times in a row for the win. Trephan is a big boy and could be a matchup problem for BK. FWIW.
True. But he also lost to Bradley Hill. And went to OT with Luffman

Is this unprecedented? 1 loss returning national champ to a 2 time returning national champ/Olympic champ all time great? I feel like this is what the exceptions are for. Have some balls.
Leave out the FS results.

They MIGHT consider previous accomplishments - but here why I don’t think that should be rewarded.

SCHEDULE competition. This is kinda on the PSU coaching staff and athletes.

Seeding matrix should only take into account the season for about 95% of it. This rewards what we all want and what we say the sport is all about.

The only I think the committee could have in their defense is that Lehigh and PSU competed against each other and trephan wasn’t on the roster.

I agree with most of what u say regarding past accomplishments. PSU wrestles in the Big Ten. That is generally the toughest schedule. They aren’t looking for the Owen Trephans to boost their seed. This is exactly the reason the commitee gets a chance to override. 99% of the people with eyes are gonna say Kirk should get the benefit. You can’t math everything

The crazy thing is how good Kerkvliet is and he still had absolutely nothing for Gable…
He looked small compared to Gable too, like snowman arms. Lol
We know he's a big dude, Gable is just a monster.
Gable just toyed with him.
Credit to Gable too, he's really matured. Likable guy now.

I would think Kirk is a sure fire semi finalist. No bloodround for him. Ben’s best spot is being in a quad with Trephan
Ya brain fart kerk would be no worse than the match deciding 3rd and 5th. So give him the 4 seed please

I think Kerk still gets the 2, reigning national champion. One loss to the monster.

Yeah with Trumble losing in the ACC tournament his seed will take a big hit. Seeding should be something like:
#1 Steveson
#2 Kerkvliet
#3 Hendrickson
#4 Schultz
#5 Trephan or Keuter
If you told me at the beginning of the year BK had the chance to be the 5 seed at Nat’s, I would have signed up in a second. Good luck Ben and let it rip!!!

Seriously?
Do better! Just because your vocabulary may be limited doesn't mean it has to be for others. Seriously, you've never heard the term Good Grief, Charlie Brown?

informal. Add to word list. to annoy someone or cause trouble or problems for them

Again - multiple ways to use the word. Expand your thoughts.

Committee is usually loathe to put undefeated conference champs lower than any non-champs.

Precedent says trephan gets the 3.
I know it’s highly possible that it falls like that, but that’s insane to me. The #1/#2 are both undefeated going into the B1G finals and the loser could potentially drop to 4th for NCAA’s. It all but guarantees a rematch in the semi’s. I understand why Hendrickson would pass Kerkvliet, but I’m struggling to wrap my head around the fact that he could fall to 4th.

NCAA’s are a lot different. There will be a helluva lot more people at the NCAA’s than there were in Spain. It had a much different feel as well.
So wrestling in front of 15,000 fans in Carver and competing for Gold on the world's stage did not prepare him for the NCAA's? And no offense to BK, but the chances of him wrestling on Saturday night are slim at best so I think he will handle the pressure the rest of the time just fine.

Quit grieving me.
Well, you are pretty much dead to me here. Just take the loss. When you argue with someone, proven wrong and ultimately enlightened, the general response is to say thank you. Since I have provided enough examples of how the word "grief can be used, not "grieve", Google too can be your friend.

Unless of course you are trying to unseat MSU for being the most argumentative.

Maybe griefing? Lol. Just being a smart ass. Let's talk politics and religion next ;). That reminds me. What ever happened to "is there vodka in heaven"? Good poster years ago, but dam, the last few years he kind of went down a rabbit hole. Bit off subject, but I've not seen a post from him for quite some time now.

I’m simply stating that the atmosphere of one is not the same as the atmosphere of another. You can go from a hero one round where the crowd is in your corner to the villain in another round. Guys react differently. Some guys are unphased by it and don’t even notice; others get the deer in the headlights look. Some get too amped too fast and fizzle. It’s not really something that you can predict.

Trump got elected and he moved to Ukraine. Something about “standing with them” I believe.

Not that anybody cares...but "Why would we grieve an opponent's lack of success" is correct.
