WWDM please explain for us new folk.

Vall is way over-hyping the story behind "WWDMHawkeye", but in the interest of lengthening this legendary Brody Grothus thread, I'll explain. . . .

Back in 2000, I first signed up as WDMHawkeye on what was originally HawkeyeNation.com, which later became HawkeyeReport. We lived in West Des Moines at the time. That remained my moniker until last fall when the football board imploded after another ugly Iowa loss. The mods went nuts and started deleting accounts right and left, and I made the stupid mistake of calling them out for going overboard, at which time they deleted my account, too.

I signed up again as WDMHHawkeye and all was well. I made another comment in a football thread that was reasonable and not offensive, but it was evidently poorly placed in a thread where the mods were scorching earth -- and I got deleted again. This time, I went with WWDMHawkeye, and I've yet to get deleted! Of some interest is the fact that, about 5 years ago, we moved south of town, so we no longer live in West Des Moines. . . and I now have an extra "W" just for the sake of coming up with a different but recognizable nickname.

So now you know the thrilling back story of "WWDMHawkeye" -- about as riveting as my daily existence as a washed-up wrestling wannabe living in flyover country.

No exciting story here lived in Mn all my 77 years and been a Hawk wrestling since Dan Gable days.
Since in my days young my school had no wrestling didn't really get involved until my 2 boys got into at Blue Earth and me and the boys would always watch the Hawkeyes on IPTV,.

My name is simple: I am AJ Hawk, the incredibly talented linebacker from tOSU and Green Bay (and now reluctantly playing for the Cincinnati Bengals) and anonymous University of Iowa sports fan. I was born with the name (AJ Hawk) so it is accurate to say that I've been a Hawk from day 1.

Just to add to the good cause of 13 pages and bring this small topic backup I recommend seeing the new Star Wars movie I'm already waiting for the next one...

G'morning men! It's time to get to work, we have a lot of work in front of us. I can't fkn wait to see Brody wrenchin on dudes this year.

Just want to do my share of helping, How about Kaid Brock destroying his next opponent. Can't wait to see him beat Clark at Nationals. Then we have are reserve C Rogers destroying, I think it was more toying with a ranked wrestler, and then deciding it was time to pin him. Meyers can't even beat our second string guy. I try to do what I can to help out when I'm needed.:)

If Brody doesn't already know about this thread, someone should let him know. I think he'd get a kick out of it. Cough. . . cough. . . HIWILLE. . .;)

Given your recent track record for predictions, this is extremely good news for the Hawks.

I got something pretty cool to link but having a hard time getting it done. Would someone volunteer their help? I'll check back in a few minutes.

I've heard WDM/WWDM etc on this board for many years and have seen him explain this previously, too funny as his posts here have always been very reasonable.

To that end, being in CO this board gives me plenty of info and really enjoy it. Certainly alot of garbage too, but what other medium doesn't have it as well.

Very excited for this year. I think we have 6 solid to great weights and alot of promise at 285, 157 now, and 141 with Brody "the Great" ready to cut a wide swath thru any and all competition.

uh, did I do my part to extend or was it pretend?

And hey, I just noticed the "likes". I only have 5. Wow. Can you guys help me into double digits? There, two posts in 3 minutes.

I had trouble posting last night myself. I tried using those icons above where we type and tried to insert, but didn't work. Finally I just put the paste button right in the middle of this typing space and it worked. Hope that helps you.

I'm sure a lot of you didn't know Brody drag races high performance motorcycles and he plans on going for a national title when college is done.

His uncles Tom an Joe Klemme have 4 or 5 national titles between them and his older brother Brunson has 1 or 2 I believe.

Also they have Grothus High Performance business, building Drag Bikes and parts.

You can google any of these for your own info, plus Brody.

Now..... If I could get someone to Google "Brody Grothus motorcycle drag racing" there is a video of Brody on a practice run dragging his bike at a strip. Turning a 141 mile an hour in 9. Something. But he has done faster with even bigger bikes.

Both sides of the family says he is going to be the best of them all. Would someone link this for me please! Signed dumbass. :D

Hi guys. Long time Hawk wrestling fan, but have been out of the country. Who is this Brody Grothus that you speak of and why is he cutting so much weight?

lol... WDM is the most banned person here probably! He's a bad seed. Stay away from him.

I remembered the original post similar but slightly different. I recall it went like this:
1) I was WDMHawkeye
2) The football board was in meltdown and I made an observation that got me banned.
3) I created an alias that no one would ever be able to discover by adding an extra H to my name.
4) I made similiar posts which were frowned upon by the establishment and was barred again.
5) inconceivable
6) I added an extra w to my name and came back.
7) and fwiw I don't live in west Des Moines any more.

Couldn't have said it better, myself. I defer to the Vallholl version of events.

In retrospect, I wish I'd gone with WDMHawkeye! -- adding an exclamation point rather than adding a "W". Just in case I get a wild hair and decide to reincarnate my HawkeyeReport self yet again, I'm alerting you all in case you don't recognize the name after that revision.

Having said all that, we actually moved southwest of town, so the extra "W" does make some sense, since we're now west of WDM, which could be abbreviated WWDM.

And yes, I do have better things to do than ramble on here -- but at least I've done my part to lengthen the Brody thread that much more. Time to go vacuum.

I wonder what outrageous post WWDM, WDM, WWHDM, or whatever posted that got him banned 3 times? Brody loves motorcycles.
It's sad he was banned. I've been posting on this site as it has changed names over since superhawkeye.com. And I can say he is one of the most tempered and mannered posters I've come across.

That's right, Hounded! I forgot about superhawkeye.com -- the iteration before HawkeyeNation.com, as I now recall. Good call there.

Technical question here, just wondering if pages are divided by number of posts, or by combined length of posts, i.e. total word count? Anybody know? I have never bothered to count either way. Also, being a motorcycle enthusiast myself, I now have even more respect for Mr. Grothus.

Although it looks as if he is a little over 141. Btw, what is his walking around weight these days and what's the difference between Fredericksburg and Frederika?
141.46 = Pee once, spit twice, hop on the scale.................................
