It’s winter in Iowa and we finally got some snow. About time.

Kind of interesting - we only have maybe 3-4 inches here in East Davenport, but one of Mrs. Torbee's employees who lives in rural Clinton County, near DeWitt, a mere 15 or so miles from here, has 12-plus and more falling.

9" smack dab in the middle of my yard. Finally slowing down, VERY light fluffy snow, easy to blow out.

Drifting is going to be a serious issue out in the country. Wouldn't surprise me if some schools are still closed tomorrow if they are rural in any fashion.

Roads in Ames are slick. Just was driving home and some lady in an SUV didn't just pass me too fast for road conditions.....she had had to have been speeding 20 mph over speed limit. I was really wanting to see her in the ditch when I got up with her.
