If one thing this CFP pageantry escapade has taught me, it's that it doesn't do anyone any good to speculate. If FSU was in the B1G this past year we may have gone undefeated or maybe we'd have gone .500. Iowa's defensive success gives me a strong gut feeling we'd have at least had a strong winning record. That's about as far as I'll take it. Time will tell going forward when the games playout on the field.

I think almost every Iowa fan would agree, if they were being serious, FSU would beat Iowa more times than not, except for a couple of seasons where you hit rock bottom. Now, if "you" means the Big Ten in general, I could see some posters saying that some ass kicking would be dispensed, from time to time, by OSU and Michigan.

I don't have to visit their message board, I lived in Omaha for three years...including 1997 when they won that co Natty with Michigan with a very average team that played nobody. I know all about the Husker Cult.

Someone mentioned it earlier here, but I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not knocking it, it's just there's a LOT of pieces of the puzzle to put together to make it happen.

Secondly, FSU needs a dance partner (or 3 or 5) to make this happen.

Unless there's some sort of mathematical gymnastics that makes 19 being an easier football schedule for all, I just don't see them doing this alone. They're not going to want to go without having a partner as far as some sort of in-conference "familiar face". Someone they can look across the sidelines and say "hey, I know YOUUUUUUU...I KNOW YOU!"

FSU: We would like to join your conference.
