The Hawkeyes (12-3, 2-2) head down the road to Champaign to take on Illinois (11-4, 1-3).

Not fully sure what to expect tonight. Illinois has lost two straight and the hawks are fresh off their first home loss.

I have a gut feeling this will be close but I suspect Iowa is gonna squeeze out a 77-65 victory.

Lets see if anything has improved with 2 of Iowa's biggest issues: turnovers and missed layups.

In our last game, a 74-66 loss to #8 ranked Maryland, turnovers & missed layups were the story of the game:

(1) Maryland had 27 points off 21 IOWA turnovers.

(2) Iowa turned the ball over on 27.6% of their possessions.

(3) Iowa missed 20 layups (14-34).

Unbelievable.

Unacceptable.

The substitutions are horrible. We were flowing then they keep subbing ever two minutes… how can we sustain momentum doing that? Also, don’t get some of the lineup choices. It’s honestly frustrating to watch.

I’m not sure if she is worried about hurt feelings from players or what.
