Better to be lucky than good, which is what ISU. The better team did not win this game.
Iowa is better than Iowa State regardless of what the Cyclone fans will say after this. That was all on Iowa.

Easy to swallow your whistle while you try and run out the clock. No aggressiveness the last 4 minutes. It's all on Fran. Horrible coaching again at the end of the game.

Man, I can't stand Iowa State basketball, the smugness, the obsessive fans. Fortunately, I live out of state, but half of my relatives talk nothing but ISU basketball during the season the last few years. I want them to lose every game just so I don't have to hear about it.
and tip of the cap to Fran.. good thing we kept that last timeout. Could have been useful on one of those inbounds plays, but nah, better just keep it in the pocket and lose the game.

I won't say he's terrible, but the perception of him being very good is benefiting greatly from the debacle that preceded him.
I've always been a Fran supporter but that was the worst coaching I've seen in a long long time. Absolutely pathetic.

Monte Morris is so much better than either Gesell or Sapp..that is bottom line.
They don't work to get open. Why give them the ball? Uthoff included. Go take the f***ing ball from Gesell. Don't be a f***ing moron and just stand and watch. That's all we do, so of course Gesell will take it.
Just a terrible job by the team to not adjust if that's what actually happened. Otherwise they just stopped f***ing playing. Terrible because they outplayed Iowa State.
