I think it's really more about our poor line play and play calling/scheme.Totally with you on that. Just think in this particular game, now, a QB change wouldn't do much.
Or 19 yards over his headPetras pre-determines who he is going to throw to, stares that guy down and then throes to him.
Nope. Kirk went with his gut on this one.Padilla needs to come in ... At least time to time.... Right?
Not a 20 yarder. A 7 and a 8. Playing not to lose. You guys call BF a p*ssy but if Petras was strip-sacked trying to complete a 20-yard pass you’d be complaining even more. Play field position, trust the defense. Offense has played ok so far.
Yeah it’s painful to watchPetras pre-determines who he is going to throw to, stares that guy down and then throes to him.
Yessir and eerily similar to this years Penn St game..That's how we started the comeback in Kinnick when they were # 2...
You must of missed the amount of balls Padilla threw right to defensive backs and got lucky they can’t catch his passes either.Yes, its Padilla’s fault receivers drop balls thrown at their chests. But, yes, more Petras two-yard check downs to complement his first down overthrows. Good call. You’re a genius.
THANK YOU!!!!! I thought I was the only one wondering this. How can you actually grow up in a football family and be on a NFL staff and not know enough to just take some shots there on 2nd and 3rd and long in a game when you are down 14-3? Make it make sense.... somebody please!
Poor Johnson- geez Petras make sure you set up your best WR for demolitionNotice how he telegraphed that throw from the snap? He was going to Johnson double teamed or not. He is a terrible QB and has to go.
Ya think?Agreed. If Iowa played in East they wouldn’t have 10 wins.
He panics when the rush gets close. Simply isn't a good QB. I know Padilla only has a 40% completion rate but he has much better pocket presenceTerrible decision on the pass. Petras is not having a strong game. He has time and is rushing the ball into bad places. He forces it into double teams a lot.
