******Michigan vs Iowa Game Thread******

You guys call BF a p*ssy but if Petras was strip-sacked trying to complete a 20-yard pass you’d be complaining even more. Play field position, trust the defense. Offense has played ok so far.
Not a 20 yarder. A 7 and a 8. Playing not to lose.

Yes, its Padilla’s fault receivers drop balls thrown at their chests. But, yes, more Petras two-yard check downs to complement his first down overthrows. Good call. You’re a genius.
You must of missed the amount of balls Padilla threw right to defensive backs and got lucky they can’t catch his passes either.

How can you actually grow up in a football family and be on a NFL staff and not know enough to just take some shots there on 2nd and 3rd and long in a game when you are down 14-3? Make it make sense.... somebody please!
THANK YOU!!!!! I thought I was the only one wondering this.

Terrible decision on the pass. Petras is not having a strong game. He has time and is rushing the ball into bad places. He forces it into double teams a lot.
He panics when the rush gets close. Simply isn't a good QB. I know Padilla only has a 40% completion rate but he has much better pocket presence

Can we go 30 posts without being negative

Pass to set up the run, Brian. Michigan is daring you to break tendencies. It is not against the rules to pass on first down two times in a row. The reason Iowa sucks at offense is because everyone in the stadium knows what’s coming almost every play.

I should have known this game was going to be more of the same. Ho hum.

Alright now that we got time, I wanna point out that 1st down TFL.

I have noticed that more and more teams are cheating guys on the backside to not only take away the cut back in pursuit, but to be in position to play the PA as well.

If Iowa shows a strong side and it smells like a zone run, teams will crash the backside and force Iowa to have to commit to the nothingness that is the stretch side of the play.

The challenge for this staff is that they're gonna have to make a decision in the off-season. Either figure out a better way to keep that backside from being exploited, or scrap that sh** all together...........their call.
