Just looking at how Fran is reacting to the beat down. He shows as much emotion as the fan's in the stands. If he hasn't checked out, then he's sick and shouldn't be on the bench. He's as dead as a door nail.
So will most the fans.
Freeman is athletic and a fierce competitor. Helped that Payne got foul trouble.
I think Payton tries hard and has skils, but he gets himself intro trouble tring to do too much.
Perkins is having a bad game. Dix not doing a lot, but he rarely hurts the team even when he's having an off game.
Garcia was 7/8 and 18 pts in 1st half. The post defense outside of freeman is horrendous.

Yes…. Because shooters are left wide open. Every single game.Carrington is a 17% three point shooter for the year and is 3-4 so far. They're 8 of 12 as a team. It's stuff like this every single game.
Part of Fran's problem as a coach is he thinks PMAC and Krikke are good players even though they only play half the game.
It doesn't matter how Fran plays since he doesn't value defense.

Owen Freeman is going to have a phenomenal Iowa career.

70 plus percentage would be a very good uncontested practice number at the college level.
Freeman is very good. Perkins is prett good. Dix among the native Iowan guys does play defense.
Sandfort can make baskets and rebound. What he needs is some coaching --he gets into trouble taking too
difficult shots and then the misses affect his game.
The defense is off the charts horrible.
Not really...not happy but I knew this was a rebuilding year.
Just wish we could have landed Christie..rolling meadows kid who Minny beats us for...fran cannot get athletic guards often enough.
