For the players who aren't yet on the field, it's not that difficult to watch recruit tape and see the quality of athlete and player he has brought in. Since stars must mean nothing to you, then I suppose you think Iowa has the best recruiting class in the Big Ten for 5 years straight.
One example for you: he brought in a QB that started as a true freshman and became a freshman All-American.
This from a fan of a program whose last title of anything was last century, is coming off back to back 4-8 seasons, and is haunting the board of a team you last beat in 2014. Delusional fanbase, indeed.I'll explain. It's because you really never win and probably never will again win anything of significance. Yes, you can claim beating a bad Mike Riley led Husker team, and then a first year coach trying to pick up the pieces, but probably won't happen that often going forward. We all know that conference and national titles won't either. Your welcome.
He asked how I could say at this point that Frost is recruiting well. So I gave examples. Given that it's early and barely any of the four year players he has recruited have had time to get on the field, there are other means of evaluating how well he is doing with talent infusion. This discussion clearly went over your head.Goddamn this is so Iowa State-ish. We will just keep taking the Ws against you. but, but, but our QB is better than yours!!! LOL!!!!
I tried to explain this to you and the other low IQ Husker fans yesterday but you can’t seem to get it through your thick sculls. I’ve been a salesman for over 35 years and one of the first things you learn is the “more hands you shake the more money you make” in other words it’s a numbers game. That was sort of my point. The results matter, not how many "offers" are counted. Stupid and looks little brother-ish.

Tell me why Frost needs over 400 offers to pickup what 20 players if Nebraska is truly a blue blood program and what’s funny is he only has 5 commits to date. Sure he’ll land some good players but he should with the numbers he’s working with.
If Frost was truly that great a recruiter and evaluated talent so we’ll I would think 100 or so offers would suffice but he’s just “spraying and praying”!
And talking of brother-ish. Do you really think a Nebraska fan has the right to say that especially on the Iowa board after the 4 straight beat downs the Hawks have given the Huskers? How many Nebraska 4 stars has Iowa beaten the last 4 soon to be 5 seasons. You can leave now!
Who cares if he fills a class of 25 high quality players by offering 25 kids or 2500 kids. Your error is in the assumption that he must be praying and spraying and you have little understanding of what his staff is actually doing or what their strategy is. They treat offers differently than your coach appears to, but what matters is that he signs a high-quality class. Your experience of a salesman as a professional really doesn't translate much to the complex world of recruiting 18 year olds to play college football.I tried to explain this to you and the other low IQ Husker fans yesterday but you can’t seem to get it through your thick sculls. So let’s recap.....Nebraska sends out many offers and signs/receives commits from as many highly rated kids in 1 1/2 years than Ferentz has signed in a decade and it’s Frost that has it backwards?
Nebraska fans are idiots! You can explain it to them until you’re blue in the face and they still don’t get it. Ok go get all your 4 star players and Iowa’s 3 stars will continue to kick their ass and if that happens the Frost honeymoon will soon be over.So in year 1, Scott Flop has a better recruiting class than Iowa and brings in more talent, but yet he doesn't know how to recruit and is doing it all wrong? Lol.. You are too much. Kirk Ferentz would actually like to get some of that talent so he could get past being a mediocre program. It'd be scary to see what Iowa could do if they actually recruited at a high level and could develop some better caliber athletes. Buttttttt............. They don't. Party on Wayne.
And those kids of Nebraska's don't seem to stick around. The ones that do traffic in kiddie porn, and your scummy fanbase defend them, so...
I'll take getting to know a kid and make sure he's a good fit and good citizen over offering every kid who's ever held a football and crossing your fingers that the campus and community are safe when they show up.
You a little worked up fella? Just because you aren't able to recruit at a high level doesn't mean you have to get all worked up. Y'all do fine at being mediocre. Developing those bad recruiting classes is actually a hell of an accomplishment. If Nebraska had those classes we might have only won 2 games under Riley.Nebraska fans are idiots! You’re right just think how bad Nebraska would be if they didn’t have Martinez. But the way he plays I give it a 50/50 probability that he’s healthy by the Iowa game. You keep looking at the rivals player rankings done by college kids holding clip boards and recruiting those kids and we’ll take Ferentz with NFL and 20 years head coaching experience doing Iowa’s recruiting. We have a sample study of the last 4 years to know the results.Frost has been HC for one season....that’s a pretty large sample size for you? You also land a kid like Martinez whom just about any program in the nation would want right now.
AKA, you will take a kid that you beat out the entire MAC conference for because Ferentz is either too lazy or doesn’t want to go head to head against the big boys. I’d imagine he would have won more than one division title in 8 years if he would put a little more effort into recruiting.

Ferentz wins 56% of his conference games. That's what the data says. That's what you're excited about. You’re right just think how bad Nebraska would be if they didn’t have Martinez. Anyone with half a brain can look at Nebraska’s offer list and figure out the strategy. Have you even looked at it? If every P5 school did the same thing it would turn the recruiting process on its head and changes would have to be made. If I was a Nebraska fan I’d be embarrassed.Who cares if he fills a class of 25 high quality players by offering 25 kids or 2500 kids. I'd think a fan base with four consecutive wins over another program wouldn't spend so much time posting about said program if there weren't some inherent "little brother" syndrome going on. It's pretty clear Iowa fans have Nebraska on their minds a lot. I'm just here for entertainment.
I'm not surprised you think you can point to the fact that he has 5 commits in June as an indication that he isn't recruiting well. Iowa has 20 kids committed, and many of those kids had 1-2 other Power5 offers to consider. Frost is competing for kids with a whole lot more P5 offers than that, so naturally the process takes longer for many of these kids.
What an in-depth well thought out response. Guess that’s all you’ve got when you see how poorly Nebby’s 4 star recruits have actually performed. Our response is get a life.

I think you just insulted yourself, because you clearly don't know what it is Frost's staff is doing. Nebraska's high level recruiting strategy as it pertains to offers, visits, etc has been outlined on other Husker message boards by folks who have some access and knowledge of the recruiting strategy, and it doesn't match what you're saying. t all.Congratulations, you've played yourself.Anyone with half a brain can look at Nebraska’s offer list and figure out the strategy. Blue blood program...yeah right!

I'll repeat, if Iowa's strategy works so well, why do you care at all what Nebraska does? Answer: little brother syndrome. Also, you know the gravy train is coming to an end, even if you won't admit it in public, and you are looking for ways to justify the classes Nebraska is putting together as "not that good". 56%. That's my new nickname for you.
You’re overthinking and trying to hard Dumbass.Funny how you think Ferentz's NFL coaching experience is relevant, but Frost's 6 years of more recent experience as a player in the NFL must not be relevant? Ferentz coached the OL, that's what he knows how to do. It's why he's able to produce good lineman on both sides of the ball at Iowa. If he couldn't produce in his area of expertise, he wouldn't be worth much, would he.
Frost has a little bit of experience as a coach and player too. Frost was part of an Oregon staff for 7 years that far eclipsed anything KF has produced at Iowa. If you think Frost wasn't an important piece of the staff at Oregon prior to taking over at UCF and now Nebraska, you're dumber than I thought.
Frost played a hand in UO winning 6 division titles and 4 conference titles, playing in 4 BCS games (winning 3) and playing in two additional National Championship games in 7 years. Then he goes to UCF and takes over at UCF after a zero win season, and two years later goes undefeated, wins a conference title and beats #7 Auburn in a NY6 bowl, finishing with a #6 national ranking and is named college football coach of the year.
He comes to Nebraska, does a massive overhaul of the roster, piecemeals together the composite 23rd ranked recruiting class in 2.5 months, and follows that up with the composite 18th ranked class in the country in his first full cycle. In the prior ten years to Frost arriving, Nebraska's composite ranking for its recruiting class was 27.4.
You're right. That trajectory has failure written all over it. According to you, he has no idea what he's doing.
However, Iowa fans don’t need to “tout” the development of it’s roster as it’s been proven by both on field results and # of NFL draftees. Not so much with Nebraska. The same reason Iowa fans tout their two-three star recruits?
The Nebraska staff did a pretty good job developing talent at UCF. With them bringing more highly sought after talent it makes sense to be excited. Again, the OP was trying to make fun of Nebraska’s recruiting strategy which really does not make much sense considering they have don’t a very good job in that department. If Nebraska was finishing with classes in the 50’s then yeah...fair game.
However, your premise is wrong as I don’t believe the ratings services are all that accurate. For instance, Player “A” gets some offers from a “name” school vs Player “B” (who has fewer “name” school offers or played against smaller high school competition) but has similar physical abilities gets rated lower than Player “A”; the ratings are a farce. So in year 1, Scott Flop has a better recruiting class than Iowa and brings in more talent, but yet he doesn't know how to recruit and is doing it all wrong? Lol.. You are too much. Kirk Ferentz would actually like to get some of that talent so he could get past being a mediocre program. Martinez is a very good QB. If I were his parents tho.... the 5 guys in the OL protecting him are not very good. This problem will surface at some point this fall.
However, Iowa fans don’t need to “tout” the development of it’s roster as it’s been proven by both on field results and # of NFL draftees. Not so much with Nebraska.

Nobody here gives a shit about Nebraska football. It’s fun to make fun of you. You are the Barney Fife of the big ten. So nip in the bud.No it hasn’t. I will give you the NFL draft picks. Winning one division title in 8 years does not impress much and to me...if Ferentz is this great developmental coach you say he is...he could use some more talent at his disposal to get over the hump. That’s where the recruiting highly ranked kids vs beating out MAC teams comes in to play.
When you resort to things like this, you know you've taken the L. Like one of your other brethren, best thing you can do is take your L and move on. Perhaps stay out of conversations you know nothing about. You’re overthinking and trying to hard Dumbass.
Clearly, a number of people do care based on the number of threads and posts pertaining to Nebraska, all of which are started by Iowa message board goers.Nobody here gives a shit about Nebraska football. It’s fun to make fun of you. You are the Barney Fife of the big ten. So nip in the bud.
That's the thing about the internet. I can be in more than one place at a time.Nobody here gives a shit. Go home.
