But Iowa is their lapdog, and they have less talent. Not a good lookNIT, NIT, NIT…enjoy that Nebraska Actually, Nebby’s hoops season is like their football season…don’t make the big tourney and their football team doesn’t go to bowl game![]()

That is just not being focused or dialed in at all
Brutal loss when something is on the line.
I agree. Fran never seemed to be in the game. He made some stupid substitutions and didn't call TOs when we needed them.Fran we have 3 timeouts!!!!!!! Take one set up a set play. BAD COACHING
still can get #4 seed with Indiana and Rutgers winning.
Would take it.That would be pretty crazy to back into a #4 seed
He was enjoying watching his boys, He does not have time to actually coach the team.I agree. Fran never seemed to be in the game. He made some stupid substitutions and didn't call TOs when we needed them.
He just seemed to sit there.
Yup. They only give about 50% effort when closing in on / guarding three-point shooters. It’s the whole “I’m counting on him missing” approach.Lazy defense or over helping story of the season i would be happy play zone from here on out
Yet, they are still a trash program and state. But they freakin' beat Iowa in both. Makes it harder to spoof them.
Lots of negatives from that game but it was really awesome to see PMac bust out the way he did. Could have been a blowout if not for his performance. I'm really happy for him, hopefully he can build on that
Please don’t excuse a poor effort by players and coach today. Don’t place blame on anyone but this lazy, entitled Hawkeye basketball team that overlooked a team that has been playing hard. Sad year for football and basketball teams.Yet, they are still a trash program and state.
0-4 against 11 and 12 place teams in conference. Plus one loss to 13th place team.Swept by Nebraska and Wisconsin.
Is that what they refer to as playing to the level of your opponent?0-4 against 11 and 12 place teams in conference. Plus one loss to 13th place team.
Yes, it was a poor effort by Hawk players today. One silver lining in today’s loss is that Hoiberg will likely stay in Nebraska a bit longer, yet their hoops program will still never amount to anything. Please don’t excuse a poor effort by players and coach today. Yeah, beggars can't be choosers. Lots of very inconsistent performers on that teamPMAC is a 3 year 30% 3pt shooter and he is streaky. He's not a pure shooter that possesses exceptional shooting form,. I personally would not expect this game to have much effect on post season play. In fact CMAC, PMAC, Ulis, Perkins are all career 30 percent 3pt shooters. The aberrations are the games where they all shoot well, like the MSU and Indiana game and the games where they all shoot very poorly like NW/Wisconsin. Today was close to average for season from 3pt line.
Iowa had a decent 3pt shooting night but horrid overall shooting percentage and Nebraska had an insane shooting percentage. If Kris had concentrated more on driving the ball and Rebacca was more effective than 5/14, maybe we could have gotten to OT.
I don't think this loss matters much. The double bye was mostly going to be artifact of tie breakers going Iowa way...not that Iowa was a clear Top4 B1G team..they were probably going to win 1 game at most in BTT either way and that is unchanged.
