*****New Hampshire vs Iowa Game Thread*****

Lindy's College Basketball magazine ranked New Hampshire
to finish last in the nine team American East Conference.
That Conference was ranked #17 out of 31 Conferences.

New Hampshire lost 4 starters from last year's team and has
won only 2 games this season,

Bottom Line: The Iowa Hawkeyes should never have scheduled
this team. This is a travesty to our fans to bring this team to
Iowa City.

Its the Fran way

Let's just get it over with. Hawks should and better win in a cake walk.

Last cupcake of the season, so that's nice.

Maybe we'll get a Traore sighting.

I will be happy if the following three things happen:

1. New Hampshire gets offensive rebounds on 25% of their misses or fewer.
2. Iowa gets an offensive rebound on 33% of their misses or more.
3. New Hampshire shoots under 45% on two pointers for the game.

Our opponents are getting waaaaaay too many shots close to the rim. To be precise, 45.1% of Iowa opponents' shots are coming from near the rim. That is 23rd out of all 360+ D1 teams and the highest rate for a high major team. They've gotta create more defensive congestion in the lane. They are doing some good things defensively but it's all getting undermined by the two point D and rebounding.

Oh Freeman's OUT?!? WTF is it now? This team has had the worst luck with injuries...

Presumably Dembele starts at C then. I hope Fran uses Mulvey and Tadjo as the primary backups because Brauns has been pretty rough this season - his +/- numbers are ugly.

What’s wrong with Freeman? Nevermind…they just said he tweaked his ankle.

Looking for these successes tonight...

1. No injuries
2. Seydou, Dembele, and Cooper get a lot of run and look sharp
3. Learn how to hit the boards
4. Jess leverages the word "elite" < 5 times tonight

This unh team is living up (or down might be more appropriate) to their reputation. They are truly awful. One of the bottom 20 teams in D1.
