Plus DePaul is in Chicago which definitely has recruiting perks over a team like Iowa.
I expect is not to get completely destroyed at home by DePaul
If DePaul comes out hitting again and Iowa doesn't after swapping sides then I'll be totally convinced this team is absolutely garbage.
Sad thing is pretty much Fran won't be gone even with what looks destined to be a terrible year. Iowa would have to eat a lot of money to move on him. Only thing that would change it is if Wieskamp were to transfer or leave early. This is approaching Lickliter levels of play, and I thought Iowa was past that.
Yes, the team could play better. But there are going to be many nights like this. When you don't have any real athletic ability, when the opponent is motivated and paying attention (and a few shots are falling) you are going to get crushed.
I don’t think it’s that, but DePaul was picked 10th in the Big East. Look at Iowa’s lineup and we are getting blown out by them at home in year 10. That is a problem.
I think they turn up the defensive pressure and hold them to 46 in the second half. Keep them under 100 and claim the moral victory!
Carton didn't want to have to compete with Connor for the PG duties. He made a wise choice.
Our players do not have the athletic ability needed at this level. Period. Recruiting is really really bad.
True, its only year 11, we need more time before we can be competitive at home against DePaul.

It's people like this is exact reason we get the Lickliters and Fran's of the world. This season is a result of mediocre results from previous seasons. This is what you get when you keep coaches around that shouldn't be.
I have too much pride to not admit that Drake & UNI would roll our ass this year.
At least we have recruits coming in next year with lots of P5 offers to turn this thing around!
It'll be interesting to see what kind of effort Garza, weezy and kriener come out with in the 2nd half too. That usually gets jbo or cmac fired up which usually keeps momentum going.

I really like the Iowa script uniforms at least.
And.....Iowa is not Duke or Kansas! You just can’t recruit top quality athletes here!
