I can honestly say I didn’t see the refs as the problem. My 9 year old play a game. At the end of each possession we say good or bad based on the look that the team gets. For both teams. We say it as they shoot, not after. So sometimes you say bad and it goes in. I am trying to teach him about basketball with this activity. It is astonishing how many possessions IN A ROW that this Iowa team can go sometimes without a good look. Just no spacing on our shots. We are easy to guard.

right and I said so too... but you better maximize your chances. 1.8 is long enough to catch the entry pass, dribble twice, and launch a half court attempt. Indiana’s not going to foul you either so it should be a clean look.

Bohannon from half court is probably 5-10% chance compared to a baseball pass off the rim.
