*****Official Northern Iowa @ IOWA Game Thread*****

We should be seeing Mansell soon. What about Petra for a drive or two, with the new 4 game rule?

Great game overall, but the special teams coach needs to pull his head out of his ass

- 2 block in the backs during punt returns
- 1 off sides on a kickoff
- 1 illegal procedure in punt formation
- 1 blocked fg attemp

Not sure Woods is teaching the guys to be offsides or block in the back. At some point, our guys have to pull their heads out.

always put the inexperienced scrubs on special teams, get them some practice.

Stanley's QBR is around 167 for the game. Tough crowd

against an FCS team where he's thrown one terrible INT and should have easily had one more that he threw right to the defender .... we're happy he's picking UNI apart, but so many throws have been behind the receiver, low, etc. what will he do against a real BIG team??? I think the concern is warranted, but yes he's looking much better against a much less talented team ... shouldn't he?

Not trying to be a dick, but that's execution, not coaching.

From the Oklahoma thread... "All you had to do was say something about the refs and you would have had the Cyclone trifecta."
How about that Troy team, fusker fan:)
Yeah, Iowaah NEVER whines about the officials...

I know its bend dont break, but our backs need to break on the ball/receiver a little sooner and not sit so much in their zones.

That's how teams (Wisconsin, Northwestern, etc) will dink and dunk you to death and drop passes in the soft spots in our zone.
