*****Official Wisconsin @ IOWA Game Thread*****

Replay officials were f***ing morons.

Hornibrook out there looking smug like "yeah we had this" while being the most protected (aka hidden) QB in the nation.

Wisconsin trash talking, of course, because they continue to own us like they wanted. Gotta give these a**holes what they want because otherwise it wouldn't be right, right?........

Iowa roller coaster Jekyll and Hyde bullsh** in a major game on full display right to the bitter end. Now we'll put together a nice 8-4, maybe 9-3 season with at least one more loss to some a**hole team that has no business beating us because we played exactly like we did tonight......except we don't recognize that Wisconsin is not our opponent.

And Robert Smith, the bitter f***, is all smiles in the studio because he's been wanting Iowa to lose a big game since the OSU game last year, if you watch the broadcasts.

Jesus, everyone needs to relax. Yes Iowa made a ton of mistakes, specifically special teams. Its a long season, there's still hope. Wisconsin isn't unbeatable, they might lose one.

The Hawks beat themselves tonight. Wisconsin was not the better team. This is a fairly young team and hopefully this will be one of those losses that can be learned from. Multiple major mistakes were made and if one was avoided, would have changed the outcome. However, there was one real problem that was exposed tonight that is not such an easy fix, our corners are way out of position on nearly every wide receiver they are covering. Not good.

I’m guessing you loved the blitz last year for PSU. Flexing your football knowledge some more I see.

Oh so the right call was to let a terrible QB sit back there and pick apart a soft zone??? Our back 7 is inexperienced and they needed to pressure Hornibrook more. The blitz last year against PSU was the right call.

Huge mistakes, missed opportunities, Nate shitting himself when it mattered, and some Ferentz butt clenching on the drive that ended in the INT. You gotta beat the man to be the man but, unfortunately, Iowa is still Wisconsin’s bitch.

Nate did his part and did it quite well actually. This game doesn't fall on Nate Stanley at all.

When they have a RB that was consistently getting 5-8 yards at a time you don’t throw blind pass blitzes against it. With that amount of time left and where they were it was an expected run. They made a good play and we shit the bed on coverage.

Meh, rest of the season is pointless. I'll just have fun watching them but I can't invest enough energy in this team to let it ruin my fall. I've done that before. They'll make another bowl game that nobody remembers past the end credits of ESPN's televised showing of it and get ready for 2019.

Story of every ****ing year.

Which doesn’t matter. They need to lose 2 for us to get ahead of them in the West.

And now let's all get hyped up for a great basketball team that ends up #9 in conference play.

You are completely missing the point. It was another game of playing not to lose. Their players are not better. Stanley can't put a team on his back like CJB/Wadley so keeping the score close means he has to win it with a 2 minute drill, and that is something he can't do. Kirks' record in close games is abysmal.

Ya dont blitz every down. Especially first down when they were running for 5 and 6 yards a pop ....ya pick your blitzes. No pressure with the front four requires adjusting and maybe a safety blitz...something exotic, which is not in KF vocabulary.

Delusional if you think Wisconsin doesn't have better or at least the same player quality, I'd give them a slight nod in talent. Iowa lost this game with mistakes. A lot of "ifs". If Iowa can sustain the last drive, if the punt return, if the 4th and 1, etc....I personally think Iowa played better for 2 1/2 of the 4 quarters.

It’s on the coaches, they get paid millions, recruit , train, etc.
it’s 100% their fault if their players can’t execute , period.

Nope. Not going to happen for me. I still have baseball for a bit longer and then I guess I wait for baseball season to start again because the Blackhawks are going to be terrible again.
