I was under the impression that he's spending much of his time training for mma, not wrestling but maybe I'm wrong. He looks pretty dedicated to me. If he wins, he is going to eat sleep and breath it. Would still have to qualify his spot
amen chief.I think that's the last time we see Metcalf. It was a great ride brother, God bless you for giving us so much to enjoy.

nearly got pinned and i don't wanna remember that camera shot of him looking up at the lights w/ a very pained look on his face.
That's exactly what I'm thinking. If that is true and he's not training 100 percent on wrestling then imagine how good he could be totally focused on one sport. Like I said, maybe I'm wrong but I could have sworn I read an article somewhere that has had him training on martial arts. If that's correct, I'm thinking this weight may have already been qualified with a dedicated Pico in the mix.Well if that's true, would hate to see him totally dedicated to wrestling. He's a terror. I think his life consists of boxing and wrestling. Boxing still prepares him for wrestling.
If true it's pretty shitty in my opinion. This is about country not the university these guys attended. I feel bad for Metcalf today...I agree unfortunately somewhere deep down in their troll lair an image is being cropped and a meme created.
Why wrestle consols in the Olympic trials? I have to think that the guys are emotionally spent after getting knocked out of the main draw. Seems different in kind and degree than the NCAAs or even the US Open, where placing the top 8 finishes seems to have more relevance and meaning.
Top 3 still part of the team with training and stipends. Sponsors probably appreciate you getting your hand raised. Injuries happen so you could be a tweaked ankle/knee away from the Olympics. There are reasons to wrestle the backside. Why wrestle consols in the Olympic trials? I have to think that the guys are emotionally spent after getting knocked out of the main draw. I thought the same thing. He was there to win not retire. Just saying if is the end of the road it would have cool to give him the appreciation send off. I don't think he's given any thought to the end of his career happening before Rio.PBS,
As cool as that would be, Metcalf just isn't that kind of guy. He has still fallen short of his goals and leaving his shoes on the mat wouldn't be a thought in his mind. I just don't see any way that he would be thinking about doing so if he lost. He just isn't wired that way.
Sorry, just saw this question. Green started with a double and from there, it was all Zain. Green gassed midway through the second and got pushed out twice without much resistance. Curiously, Green allowed Zain to tie him up all match, when Green is better in space.Give us a rundown. Did Green gas? Where was he's awesome double?
how do you know it wasn't a signal to his wife for later?Molinaro had a sudden itch...PSU guys don't do that kind of stuff.
how do you know it wasn't a signal to his wife for later?
MolinaroBeen working so who is in the finals against Pico ?
Also feel so sad for Metcalf. Hang your head high Brent u gave us Hawk fans lots to cheer about for 3 years and u represented the USA very well also...What ever u decide to do next wish you all the best. Know u will be successful in what ever you choose. I'm selfish but hope u decide to coach and in the future you be the next head coach at Iowa.
Criteria stuff is bs....let em decide it in OT!
I think it's bad for the sport too....new potential fans and casual observers have to be like "wth"Like x infinity
Come on, really? He is typically the guy who scores late and often. No, not today. I think he was apprehensive for whatever the reason, maybe the match in Yarygin where he went big and got his arm trapped and turned for the tech?Again...what did Brent do in the last two or so minutes? Nothing other than push. It was a close match and Brent has no offense down the stretch.
Track was showing it as first match. Would be 6:00 CSTAnyone know when Pico is scheduled to go tonight?
