You're getting closer and many of these matches could go either way. Desmond beat DeLuca last year in the prep national finals, although I think DeLuca is a higher ranked recruit, so that's really a toss-up. Jordyn Raney vs Lilledahl in the 22 S32 final was an all-time classic, but I think the Raneys are going to have a tough time with Lilledahl and Blaze. Senior SVN vs Frosh Bo is an all time great matchup. I give SVN a slight edge, but that could be Bo's "Zain vs Stieber" moment, too. Duke vs Estrada is another tough one, although I think Duke has a small advantage. Senior Mesenbrink will be a Hodge favorite, and this is probably bonus points. Sealey vs Arnold is another instant classic. Have they ever wrestled against each other in competition? I know they spent plenty of time together in the room at Sem, but Sealey was significantly lighter than Arnold at the time. Ferrari vs Ryder is the first where Iowa has an advantage going in, although that's not a slam dunk. Barr is laying waste to college wrestling at the current moment. We'll see how far it goes. If not Barr, then Connor Mirasola probably has a small advantage here anyway. If Kueter sticks with wrestling only, he will be a clear favorite here. If he's back to football as well to try to make a run at playing in the NFL, then wrestling will be a second priority and its closer.
One thing is for certain, if these are the lineups for a dual match, I'll be in the front row with popcorn in hand. This could easily be the best dual match of this generation.
