Listened to Dan Dennis’ interview from earlier today. Interviewer asked him when he knew Spencer would be an Olympian and he said when he met him Spencer was already the best 57kg in America going into his senior year of high school. He said a few weeks before he went to the Rio Olympics in 2016 Spencer kicked the crap out of him 8-4 in the room.

I hope in the next cycle we change the rules at USA Wrestling and try our utmost to qualify weights earlier in the process with our BEST guys. I'm looking at you Pan Am Qualifier. If feelings get hurt so be it, but 57 and 65 should never have come down to Last Chance.

Wrong.....the post you quoted has it correct. He's won U23 world bronze and 5th at senior worlds in 2022.
2018 he took a Senior World Bronze. It is on the UWW Website. Impressive he placed top 5 again in 2022.
