******Rutgers vs Iowa Game Thread******

This is not a JBO game...although he is hitting his 3pt shots, he can't guard the Mulcahey or Geo Baker or McConnel---they are just too big.

The zone with 4 guys 6'5 or better and JoeT turned the game.

Keegan quiet 18 pts.....he is key to team, but he seemed to struggle and his 3ball no going down and then damn, 18 pts.

I worry about roll out the starting lineup for 2nd half and sticking with them for 6 minutes and blowing the lead.
A f ing men

Stupid theory.
little harsh

I will say that any theory that ignores the two Murray's growing from skilled 6'5 tweeners to skilled 6'8 point forwards ignores the biggest factor in their development. They might still be B1G players at 6'5, but the extra length makes them NBA material.

Loved giving the fouls to run down the clock at the end of the half. You dont see that much. Although it is rare when you have so many fouls to give

Quiet?

Ok. Fran don’t be stupid this half. I lost my $hit when he made the changed with 1:30.

I think he wanted to rest Keegan to the half and avoid any chance of a 2nd foul, but the hawks immediately imploded as soon as Keegan left the lineup.

Kind of makes sense. If I recall correctly the Olsen twins weren’t really recruited in basketball either.
Little known fact. Lute Olson is their grandpa. They had a falling out in high school. The twins changed the spelling of their name and decided not to pursue basketball careers as a result.

So here's a weird one. ESPN shows Rutgers is 3 of 12 for 12.5% from 3 point range. Math is hard.

Yeah I'm sure it wasn't Fran's play to give up 2 3's, but Rebraca and Bohannon just cant' defend like Keegan Murray and Joe T in the zone. Bench saved Iowa's bacon in the first half. One half from the semis!

I probably went to 75% of their HS games and back then they settled for perimeter shots rather than slash into the paint like they do now. They added that to their resume in Florida, plus the 3 or 4 inches. We had the 6'6" 300 pound Meeker kid who played ceter and was just a football player in a BB uniform..

Yes, however there are plenty of 6'5" guys with their skill set and athleticism that have multiple D1/Power 5 offers. They hardly got a look.

Is it bad I'm already holding my breath for the starters (except Keegan and Perkins) to just steal some minutes until the second unit comes in?
