Yea, can't put Stoll back out there. End of season for him.

I feel bad for Stoll. Kid is tough as nails for even giving it a go.
I thought the Miller kid Cooper is wrestling is dinged up? Cooper is athletic as hell. He's plenty capable if he's on his offense. I just hope he comes out locked and loaded and goes right at him. Take your shot for 7 minutes and see what happens. Will be a lot easier to go back to the hotel and sleep at 2-0.
Let's keep the big 5 alive on the front side with some bonus points, Cooper pull an upset and stay on the front side on his way to the podium, and keep one of Meyer/Rhoads alive. I don't think both will survive. I'm hoping for 7-2 and our front side guys to stay alive.

After watching Stoll's match I would be highly surprised if he continues. He had almost no lateral quickness.

Who's gonna score the most points?

Tomasello, DiJulius, Jordan, Ryan, Jordan, Martin, courts and Snyder

Gilman, Clark, Sorensen, cooper, Rhoads, Meyer, Brooks, and Burak

Or

Klimara, Wayne-Harding, Heil, Collica, smith, dieringer, Rogers, Boyd, weigel, and marsden?

I think that's the true battle for 2-4th

Not that any of you really care what a Lion thinks, but the Cooper kid impressed me at BIGs and he impressed me this afternoon. Not sure he can get past Miller, but he has really progressed and has a much better chance than I would have thought just 6 or 7 weeks ago.
I think he and Brooks have changed their styles a bit recently (aggressive but still playing smart). Cooper knows how to get through a tourney imo - he has won college level championships in the past. seems like a great kid

Thinking about how to coach Cooper in this match. Do you advise him to attack immediately and often in hopes of wearing an injured opponent down in the third? Or would that be playing right into Miller's strengths and let the match get away? Play defense in the first, ride hard in the second and then go on the attack when he's worn down and feeling the pain? I'm going with option 2. I think if Cooper attacks right away the skill of Miller will win out early and he will be in too big of a hole to work his way to a victory in the third.

Attack, Attack, Attack!

Whatever Sammy is doing it is working well.

Yeah, hate for anybody to go upper body and actually throw someone on their back. We are hypocrites. We want balls to the wall wrestling, but we don't want Sammy to take high risk moves. Not necessarily the formula Nikal lives by and we all "like" him. I always find that funny. It's bitten Sammy a few times but for the most part, it's part of his game. We beg for aggressive attack style wrestling then we have someone who can do that and we "don't want them to make mistakes." We just want them to develope a low single and struggle for 30 seconds to finish it. That's working well.

Why the anger? It is tournament time - no time to "make mistakes" . btw - sammy seems to know when the kid is vulnerable to an upper throw now than he was earlier in the season. Ahead by 4 with RT locked = move on get the TF handed over - why risk that crap at that time. Would have liked a tilt though (non-suicide of course).
Also Sammy's singles are not 30 secs of rolling around - did you even watch anything this last 10 weeks?
