I give weather personalities shit all the time about how they never get the forecast right. They absolutely nailed this today as they have been talking about severe weather all week.
I was thinking that same thing. I think the first I heard about a severe weather outbreak today was last Saturday. They've been watching this one for a long time.
Had a flight in from Denver that is landing in the next 20 mins. I didn't want to risk a cancellation, so I jumped the 10:35 this morning and was home by 2PM. It was still bumpy coming into Iowa
Rusty Lord was stressed all day today
Weather channel is reporting a debris cloud in that storm. Doesn't sound good at all.
Yeah of course as soon as I posted that, a tornado warning gets issued for dsm

My brother is at the Drake Relays and they moved everyone inside and told them to take cover.
It's times like this where I'm happy I live in a big ole concrete building

Be safe, yall. Just talked to two peeps in Urbandale and they were fortunate. Just coming out of their basements. East of there looks awful.
Some of the tornadoes I saw today. 2 cyclical supercells, one in Nebraska the other in Iowa. Watched the Iowa tornado cross 80 near Shelby.
