The CC Show....

You’ll probably have to sign in to your League Pass account to watch it. ESPN3 is a separate subscription service that is not available through YTTV or cable providers, which is why YTTV is asking you to sign up for League Pass.
They won't let me log in to league pass on YTTV, I have to sign up for an account through them. I'm fine with watching it on League Pass, but I'm worried it won't be on there because it's available on ESPN3. My other option is to do a 7 day free trial LP through YTTV.

I would think you should be able to watch it through your existing LP account as long as you’re not in the blackout range. I didn’t get LP because living near Cincinnati I’m in the blackout range for Fever games so I wouldn’t be able to watch them anyway. And I can’t get ESPN3 because my internet service provider doesn’t pay ESPN the required monthly fee to allow their subscribers to get access. So I’m probably out of luck for today.

That stinks. I've watched all the Fever games so far and hopefully I'll be able to watch today's game somehow.

I wasn’t able to watch the game due to blackout restrictions and ESPN’s corporate greed. But based on the box score and game summaries, Aliyah Boston had a career night.

Coming out of the Olympic break it was pretty much the Clark & Mitchell Show. Then when they clinched, Christie Sides said they wanted to use to last few games to work on some things before the playoffs. It would appear that making a concerted effort to get Boston more involved in the offense was one of those things.

And, putting Hull into the starting lineup has made a huge difference. She hit several big 3’s today, and played with a ton of defensive effort. And she’s been doing that consistently now.

Maybe, but it was kind of a painful game. Very similar to the other day when they lost. They started out hot and then things started going wrong and the Dream couldn't miss. CC was so frustrated and down she was the first to head to the locker room at half time running by fans in the tunnel with their hands out without even acknowledging them. Luckily Boston played great. Eventually CC shook off her frustration, improved her defense, and got back in the groove. Hull has been great since she became a starter. Her defense is great and her 3 point shooting has been a difference maker.

What percentage of her TO's, on average, are due to another player?
Seems like a question for you to dig up the info on, if you want to claim they are not "her" TOs

I've watched the games - most of her TOs are risky (or just plain bad) passes.

Interesting. Caitlin takes ownership of her turnover and changing the momentum of the team.
Most other players would not do that.
Of course they would.
Any team leader would

What is flummoxing for folks here, is that she is stating the same thing I've been posting: She needs to cut down on her TOs. When she does, her team wins.

UNPOSSIBLE

I've been told many many times in this thread that CC is the only reason this team is winning....

UNPOSSIBLE

I've been informed (in this very thread) that "turnovers do not matter"
But CC claims they can be "momentum shifters"

Weird
It is odd, we have another poster who makes graphs and focuses on turnovers.......oh, he also can't answer questions and tries to ignore points, assists and rebounds.......he also posted a link to some decade old theory about the NBA having steals that were worth 9.1 points........it's shocking what some people(Joe) will post.

Oh, so you actually have no points then
That's exactly what it means.........
other than the facts that I have presented and opinions I have supported with facts.

Feel free to answer any of the questions you have been able to answer and please don't take almost a month to do so. It will be such a long 12 days to get to the 'almost a month' stage.

Can you link those posts?

Is it the same person who linked an article claiming that steals were worth 9.1 points in the NBA a decade ago?
Because that person linked that and then backed away from it quickly. Similar to how he avoids the 'probably make the team' is the same as 'in consideration' position and the same person who acknowledges are better 'but not that much better'

And, yet, there she is, admitting they altered the momentum in a game.
And agrees that it's something she needs to fix.
And your point is?
Please have a valid one, you really haven't in this thread so it would be refreshing and unique.

Joe is constantly sidetracking and bringing down this thread. 5 straight posts about old content?
Ridiculous. We’re moving on from the Olympic discussion. That’s over and history will speak for itself.

We’ve moved on to the end of the season seeding and the playoffs now.

Guilty as charged. Just need to ignore his uneducated ill informed posts.

I'm not going to read through this whole thread and I’m familiar with Joe’s posting history, so I realize this is probably stupid, but can someone fill me in as to what the hell the argument is about.

Some said Clark should have been on the Olympic team due to many factors, Joe said she didn’t deserve the spot due to a few factors, primarily turnovers.
And, that discussion went far too long, and is overshadowing the exciting games occurring now.

Speaking of playoff seeding, Indiana will almost certainly play either Minnesota or Connecticut in the first round and would probably face the other one if they made it to the next round.

Connecticut is the most likely first round matchup. The Sun won the season series 3-1 and the two games in Connecticut were both blowouts. But the three Sun wins all came early in the season when the Fever were still trying to figure things out. Both games in Indy were close, with each team winning once by 4 points.

Connecticut is struggling a bit recently. They have lost 3 of their last 5, including the loss to Indiana, and at this moment they are in a tight battle late in the 4th quarter with LA.

I think Connecticut is probably a slightly preferable matchup for Indy. The Fever did beat Minnesota shortly before the All-Star game, but Napheesa Collier missed that game with an injury and the Fever have had no answer for Collier in their last two matchups.

Update - the tight game between Connecticut and LA wasn’t so tight at the end. The Sun closed the game with a 15-1 run.

Btw, the Fever’s win today means their magic number for clinching the 6-seed is down to any combination of 2 Fever wins or Mercury losses.

t I have presented and opinions I have supported with facts.
You've presented few facts.
Those you do post, you cherry-pick.

CC's overall performance metrics track quite well w/ whether her team wins or loses. Go map that out yourself if you cannot understand it

You're the one ragging on her turn overs.
She ragged on her own turnover.

ICYMI, she set the WNBA season record for TOs quite a while ago. Every new TO is a new record.
We never hear about that, but in a game or two when she sets the Assists season record, you'll be back here touting it constantly.

No; I said her overall play did not earn her a spot.
And I posted data that supports that.

And then I posted data that her play since selections were made has improved substantially, which is factual. Had she played like that early in the season, she may have gotten a spot, and that is what Dawn Staley said.

At least two or three of her turnovers yesterday weren't her fault. So, I tend to discount some of the turnovers she has.
