The CC Show....

Based on the first half today, I'd say it is indeed a "terribly inaccurate result".
Mitchell has played much better (so far).

Let's see if she can prove me wrong, and show up in the 2nd half.

‘Based on the first half today, I'd say it is indeed a "terribly inaccurate result".

Odd, I thought the votes had already been counted. Didn’t think they would add the first half today into it

Another solid effort of deflection on your part.

1-9 in the first half of their playoff game.

I'm sticking with "50 voters voting popularity over substance" at this point.
She also did not perform well in the AS game.
50 voters or Joe….. going with the 50 voters having more credibility.

Joe now openly rooting against her at this point. What a douche

Nope

Disappointed they lost.
I'm just a "realist" in understanding she's not the "4th best player in the league" at this point.
She wasn't even the 4th best player on the court today.

MVPs show up in the playoffs. Someone posted about "Magic Johnson" and TOs earlier in this thread. So, I posted his #s against Clark's and others. Magic put up his best numbers in the playoffs. If Clark wants to be in that MVP convo in the future, she needs to do the same.

Odd, I thought the votes had already been counted.

Yes; I told you it was more of a "popularity contest".

Her performance today only magnifies that.
Maybe she'll come back on Wed and "light it up".

But in the bigger games (AS game, today), she has not put forth her best performances.
Maybe you think that 4-17 shooting and 2-13 from 3 is "MVP caliber". I do not.

She wasn't nominated MVP.

Joe is without a doubt the biggest loser I've ever come across on the entire internet. Incredible accomplishment
You seem like the terribly sore loser here, when you cannot defend your CC "Rose Colored Glasses".

She is not (yet) the player you expect her to become. And you're incapable of realizing your biases here.

Yet, posters here are touting her "finish in the voting" as though she is.

Like I've said: maybe she'll light it up in the next game and lead her team into the next round. That's what an aspiring champ would do.

At least she listened to her coach and did not "shut down" every time she thought she was fouled and leave her team to play 4 on 5 defense. That's one of the biggest knocks on her play in the league - she pleads too much to officials while the other team scores buckets. Didn't see her do that vs the Sun today.

What about that one game at Iowa?

Why ask that? Because it has the same amount of consideration as the two games you mention. Maybe go back to a bad high school game and mention that, it has the same relevance.
Solid attempt at avoiding the efficiency numbers, the unanimous vote, all wnba team.

Voters 50
Joe 1

Still going with the voters on this one

What about that one game at Iowa?
What about it?

She's 2/2 in big WNBA games, underperforming. Yet, here you are declaring her an MVP caliber player.
I've stated many times I think she'll get there; I'm realistic enough to recognize what I'm seeing, firsthand.

Maybe she'll turn it around on Wed and push out a massive game and lead her team to Game 3. Right now, she's struggling against the top competition in the league.

You just aren't a very honest person. I didn't vote her 4th in the MVP vote, I didn't vote her rookie of the year.

"She's 2/2 in big WNBA games"
Neither of those games were involved in the voting for rookie of the year or MVP.

"I've stated many times I think she'll get there"
Once again, because you state it doesn't make it so. Your credibility in this thread is shot. Oh and you aren't honest. You have that going for you.

Yet, you're consistently defending that narrative here.

She definitely earned ROY.
Not so much on finishing in the top 5 in MVP votes this season, which is why I'd referred to it as more of a "popularity contest" than based on #s.

Something something CC wouldn't have helped Olympic ratings because of the MAGA church crowd. Effing hilarious

The good news is you don’t have a vote.
Have an issue with the vote? Contact a voter, contact the league. I am sure they will be glad to hear from you. Your opinion on the subject is less than credible so they will give it the attention it deserves.

It is precisely what he meant.
Why did you make up something he didn’t say and even put it in quotes?
Because he is dishonest?
When the facts don’t support you start making stuff up, throw some quotes around it and hope nobody notices that you are lying.
Character is lacking there.

Waiting for Joe to tell me how i am thinking and what I really mean.

I simply said it was more of a "popularity contest".

CCs performance in the All Star Game, and now the 1st round playoff game, support that statement.
If she shows up Wednesday and blows up for 35 pts, 15 assists and takes the game, then she'd earn the accolades. Right now, that isn't the case. There are other league players who'd have earned those votes.

Fairly likely she'll work hard in the off-season and come back and challenge A'ja for that honor. This year, she was not close.

You must think Luka Doncic is terrible based on his ASG stats. He sucks.

The awards are based on the whole season, not two games you cherry-pick to support your opinion. She earned her recognitions.

Yes; I'd stated that, already.

Her late season stats have been exceptional; her early season stats were not nearly as good.
There were other players who were more consistent, and more valuable to their teams (that got higher playoff seeds)

Because that's essentially what you said.
Well when you are dishonest like that I can go with the
"Joe is a blatant liar"

You know because essentially that is what you did. Pretty similar to your god awful interpretation of what Staley said in her interview.
I used to look to you for facts and solid analytics. Now that you have shown that honesty and credibility are less important than your pride my view of your posting has changed. I know it doesn't mean anything to you and it probably shouldn't but honesty and credibility are two things I like to hang my hat on. Oh and being enough of a stand up human being to admit that I misspoke, made a mistake or misunderstood something.

What part of 'the accolades have already been awarded' don't you understand? They had a vote, it's over. What she does in this series has nothing to do with any of that. Keep spinning.

You used "will happen"

Fundamentally the same thing.
Other than it isn't. Spin away, throw another quote around something I didn't post.......... essentially more lies from you. 50 voters............Joe.........still going with the voters
