*****THE OFFICIAL IOWA VS NORTHWESTERN FOOTBALL THREAD*****

That would suck to be a captain and end up getting benched. Kind of feel bad for the kid if he doesnt play again. Then i think he has made more money then me this year, and now does'nt have to get hit. Maybe i dont feel quite so bad for him if he doesnt play again.

You missed the replay that showed there was nothing intentional about it? These guys were in preschool then?
It was a hip drop tackle. Probably not intentional, but is against the rules in NFL now.

For the record, it was also a hip drop tackle that injured Canzeri against Northwestern in 2015.

And textbook targeting that took out Shonn Greene against Northwestern. Before there was a targeting rule though.

I wish.........

Iowa gets the ball to start the second half. Id give anything to see kirk trot cade out their. Lol.
brian would've done that thinking that nw during halftime would've swapped defensive strategy expecting sullivan and thus ended up outthinking himself out of a win. i don't think lester will go there. we'll see

Kirk visibly annoyed and snippy when questioned about the QB situation. F outa here
Maybe stop making the same stupid decisions every ****ing time for one singular position. It's more annoying that we have to ask you the same questions every year dip shit!

Acting like it's audacious to make him explain his stupid methodology when it's entirely his fault. I just can't with this guy anymore.

Classic Iowa-nw sh!tfest of a game.
At least a little excitement with Sullivan in there for the last series. He's not great, but him being in there bringing the running dimension and making the D have to play differently makes a significant difference.
Won't be surprised to see McNamara come out for Iowa's first series of the second half. If it happens I doubt the crowd will respond positively.

Actually there was a helmet to helmet rule, but it was in its infancy. We benefitted from such a call earlier that year, but we also got screwed on a couple including that hit on Greene, because they couldn't go back and look at potential targeting like they can now.

Where are all the dipshits screaming for Sullivan to start over Cade?
Right here, he is still an upgrade over Cade.

One bad throw that was incomplete, not a pick six like Cade. One bad drop on an accurate throw to Gill.

And low and behold his running ability gave Northwestern something else to think about and a KJ run finally opens up.
