Where does ISU go when the Big 12 implodes?

That would mean Fry lost his last ISU game. That was such a long time ago. We will just have to even up Freerent's record this year

Yes, Fry lost his last game as Iowa coach against ISU after winning 15 in a row. I'll give him a pass for that one. Ferentz is 10-9 against ISU.

It is simple math.

I wonder since 2000 how many times the B1G’s advanced a team further in the tourney compared to the Big12. My rough guess would probably 13 or 14 times.

I wonder how many big 12 teams have made the sweet 16 since 2000? I think it’s everyone but TCU. Iowa gets to be in that elite company.

Not nearly as elite as isu being unable to even share a football conference championship since 1912.

That level of sucking puts isu in a league of their own for all P5 conferences.

Yikes

So you admit the B1G has proven for 20 years in March Madness that they’re a way better conference than the Weak12?!

You’ve already admitted the B1G’s way better in football.

are you talking basketball?!?!??!?!? A secondary sport to the THE $ sport?? And talking it on a football forum no less.

I agree, in basketball the BIG has had more success and more team with FF runs. Funny thing is Iowa has contributed nothing to that, yet you’re still happy about it for some reason.

You doofus. Cyclone fans are constantly on this board clamoring about how good the Big 12 is in this or that (football success, football attendance, Final Fours, College World Series, athletic department revenue, etc), when ISU has had absolutely nothing to do with it at all. Accusing Iowa fans of doing something similar is one of the funniest things I've ever read on here.

'tis the way of the clone

Both Kirk and Hayden lost early in the building process. While Kirk has had his brain fart games, Hayden just plain bitch-slapped ISU.
Wasn't hard because ISU had no administrative support for FB in 80s & 90s. Everyone was bitch slapping ISU at that time. It was kind of like the 60s & 70s for the hawks.

Isu just sucked in the 1920’s, 1930’s, 1940’s, 1950’s, 1960’s, 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s, 2000’s and now the 2010’s.

Only P5 school to never win a conference football championship outright.

Yikes.

What are the odds in Vegas the Clowns will suck in the next round of the 20’s that’s coming up?

And we have won how many? Take your time.

Quick answer - at least 11

Since formation of Big 12 ('96-'97 athletic year):

Big 12 - 9 Final Fours (Kansas most with 5, including one championship).
Big Ten - 17 Final Fours (Mich St most with 8, including one championship).

No Final Four for either conference: '97, '98, '06, '11, '17 (Don't know which conference advanced further pre-Final Four).

Big 12 advanced further: '03, '04, '08, '12, '16

Big Ten advanced further: '99, '00, '01, '02, '05, '07, '09, '10, '13, '14, '15, '18

(No ties - no years in which each conference lost in national semis)

Great criteria! So if one of the Big 10's 14 teams advances farther than one of the Big 12's 10 teams, that means the Big 10 was a better basketball conference that year?

So this year, we have a hot Michigan team making a run to the finals, the only Big 10 team in the Elite 8 (out of 14). The Big 12 had 3 teams (out of 10) in the Elite 8, but you are saying the Big 10 was a better basketball conference? Gotcha.

In 2002, same thing, Indiana makes a run to the finals, but KU and OU were both in the Final 4, but the Big 10 was better?

And let me guess, you are including Maryland as a Big 10 school since 1996? Whatever suits your argument to make you feel better. And for the record, I think conference arguments are stupid... how has Iowa done this century? Won 3 tourney games? Well, one was a play in, so let's go with 2.

This is hilarious, but what else would you expect on this board!

Stinky comes through again for clown fans. Can’t count a team that makes a run to the title game unless clown fans say so.

Hey stinky read out loud your post and see if it still makes sense.

Clown fans are always good for a laugh.

Easy there, Mr. Insecure. I was simply answering the other guy's question - which years did the B1G advance further. If you don't think this accurately represents this, then please provide your own definition of "advanced further." And as soon as you find my statement about the B1G clearly having a better basketball season in years in which they had a team advance further, please point that out, too.

Also, the Big 12 had more teams than the B1G for 15 of the 22 seasons listed, so there goes your numbers theory.

No, didn't have to include Maryland in '01 and '02 in order for the B1G to win those years.

Oh, and not that this is a huge accomplishment, but Iowa has 3 wins in the round of 64 since '01, Mr. History Buff.

Stop trying so hard.

You can’t spell insecure without isu.

So tell us your first hand knowledge of isu’s last shared football title and final four appearance. Better yet post your photos.

Take your time.
I could care less about the clowns and have no idea when they did or care. I measure us nationwide and we suck from that perspective

Yes, it says I don't beat women and would never respect someone who has
Good for you. You stick to your principles. It is a good thing you never did anything in your life that you weren't proud of. Someone should just ask you, and you can stand on your soapbox and crow. You can stand in judgement of anyone, anonymously.
