Where does ISU go when the Big 12 implodes?

Stick to your day job as psychology is not your strong suit.

You now have Herky legitimately calling you out for not being real bright. Do you know how hard that is and what that says about you? Maybe unicorns are real because I never thought I would see those either. Good work.

Wouldn't know because I don't see his posts. He is one of your own.

Quick recap, he called you out and showed that you weren't real bright in this thread. He was right. First time he hasn't been the lowest one on the chain that I know of. Thank you for doing that so we know it's possible. You had been working your way there and you did it!!! So proud.

Congrats! So you, herky, and Rocky M, are all battling it out. Good luck with that.

LOL! Right back atcha! Midget looks in the mirror and sees LeBron James! Priceless!

So if Iowa is the midget looking in the mirror that would make ISU.... heck what is smaller than a midget? This is like hitting batting practice pitching. Are you going to keep making this easy or are you just warming up? Currently your posts that have no substance or corroboration (all of them) are becoming a little boring and to easy to refute.

Not claiming to be anything but a P5 program that is trending up with increasing attendance for the largest University in the state that is the choice of the majority of Iowans. Is that enough facts for ya?

Have you driven around the state & noticed what team apparel people wear most back there?? It’s a landslide in Iowa’s favor. Even in DM metro Iowa still has the edge by my observations.

I’d say it’s safe to say that ISU is not the choice for the majority of Iowans when it comes to which team they like. Probably a 5:1 ratio statewide.

Says a guy from Colorado! Now that is funny!

Don't think it's 5:1 but it is a significant advantage. I always chuckled that at the Ames Target there was Iowa and Iowa State gear in their back to school sets. In Coralville there was no ISU gear in their sets.

One year is trending? Most statisticians would disagree with that. Currently behind the pace of CPR at ISU after 2 years. I missed the enrollment criteria in this process. Better tell Notre Dame they need to up their game to match up. Choice of the majority of Iowans? Based on?

Schedule is everything and beating a playoff team on the road and a top 5 team in the same year, is moving in the right direction. Add in 5 losses by a total of 25pts and a bowl win on the opponents home field, and you get a decent year. The returning talent is strong so that is trending up. But since you want facts but make a statement of opinion "That most statisticians would disagree with that", go ahead and cherry pick for your agenda.

Opinions without facts are just clown fans spouting off. It’s that little brother syndrome you all are afflicted with. So adorable.

Wow, Herkyfan....

You must have learned a new word today, “adorable” .....

LOL

Seriously, I don’t think any of us know how the disconnect of cable and the current media providers will look like in 2025 and beyond. Will customers still pay for the Big 10 Network when they can pick and choose what they really want to watch? I believe it is hard to predict even 5 years out the way technology is changing.

In the grand scheme of things, an incredible reach by you. We are so irrelevant in a game of musical chairs
Don't say "we" in comparing Iowa's and iswho's attractiveness to P5 conferences. The clowns are NOT in the same class as the Hawkeyes.

However, your clowns won't sneak up on anyone this year so a 500 record may be attainable for iswho.

When you can't rationally accept what happened you use phrases like "sneak up on".

Oh for the love of God! If the 17 Clowns played OU ten times last year, how many times do they win? I am on record as saying Iowa's win over OSU required the planets lining up right. It was a magic night. Same thing with you dipshits at Norman. At the end of the year you were what your record said you were: a very average team at best-same as Iowa. The difference between you idiots and Iowa fans is that very few Iowa fans thumped their chest after an 8-5 season and put the world on notice that they were on track to win a NC or have a top-15 recruiting class in 19 (yes, one of your troll buddies came on here and said that). 8-5 is nothing special and I see NOTHING that would make me think you are destined for greatness. You have a good running back and a 6'8 wr with a propensity for dropping passes at key moments. You guys might, and I mean might, win 6 games this year. 5 is more likely. And I will bet a week's paycheck on one thing-when you guys revert to 4-5 wins, you won't be here to own all the BS you have been laying down.

Keep going, a trend can't be inferred from two points. Did you take a different elective course and skip statistics? Is it better to say 'an extremely high percentage of statisticians?' I rarely use absolutes but this one is pretty close. I could shoot some more holes in your premise but you didn't take that class and would be unarmed in a battle of wits, again

Saying one year is a trend is how clown fans define a trend. Of course anything less than 8 wins by the clowns that won’t in anyway define a trend.

Now what were you saying about cherry picking?

Among my favorites...the suggestion that the North end zone of Kinnick was rebuilt to "keep up" with Jack Trice.

Can't make this stuff up.

isu fans cherry picking facts again. Just ignore the cost differences. Hey maybe someday joke trice will have a real press-box and not one like a high school in Texas.

...and that the North end zone redo had been in the plans since the South end zone was done.

This. If Iowa went 4-7 in 1982, 1981 would not have been indicative of a trend. It would have been an anomaly. As we know, it was the beginning of a run of winning seasons. So when the Clowns can make it to 9 bowl games in a decade, they can rightfully brag about a trend. Until they string together a few successful seasons, 2017 will remain an anomaly.

Yep you nailed it. In fact many of the previous clown saviors have had Iowa like seasons only to fall back to their norm of 3-4 wins per year. This trend goes all the way back to the early 1900’s. 115 years is just cherry picking according to clown fans though.

In reality, neither team's fans know how this years teams will perform. The uncertainty is what creates the dialogue. Iowa has a coach in his 20th season whose median win total while here is 8. What does ISU have to make their base expect another 8+win season?

I won't add to the mundane pissing match that this thread became, but I do have one comment.

I find it disgusting that someone uses the term "Joke Trice". To denigrate the name of a man who died as a result of his injuries suffered in a football game (or anything for that matter) is below pathetic. I'm not a Hawk fan but would never poke fun at "Kinnick Stadium" out of simple respect for Nile Kinnick. What he accomplished and the sacrifice he made demands our respect. The same can be said for Jack Trice.

All tbe references to "Clowns" and "Moo U", etc. are easily ignored and part of a rivalry. "Joke Trice", however, crosses a line.

Having said that, I do recognize its just one person and not representative of an entire fan base. Most people, in spite of what team you support, have a proper sense of decency and respect.

Have a good day. Happy 4th of July!

Everybody is optimistic at this time of year, but not everybody is expecting 8 or more wins. ISU fans have been favorably impressed with what the new coaching staff has done. Last year was very close too an extremely good season; several losses were decided on the last series of the game and only one -- 10 points to Texas -- was by more than a single score. A lot of talent returns.

OTOH, several key players graduated and the schedule this year doesn't leave much time for developing new players. Five of the toughest games on the schedule are in the first seven weeks (Iowa, TCU, West Virginia and the two Oklahoma schools) and three of those (Iowa, TCU, OSU) are on the road.
