Very true. I feel like we know what Turk offers in competition. It's time to see if murins ceiling is higher
Closer score than I thought it would be.
With all the weight Joseph has gained, there just wasn't room to squeeze Lee onto the poster.
Though I'm not cheering against Turk by any means, as I have said all summer long, the spot is generally Murin's unless he were to get injured or have other issues. That said, Turk's wrestling skills get a bad rap on here, IMHO.
I agree, though Turk can be frustrating. Seems like he struggles to pull the trigger sometimes and it costs him.
Do you care to point out some signature wins to back that last statement?

Unless dad told someone to keep it close, that's a great performance by the young guy.
Turk still has issues in bottom position, ala Ramos early in his career.
Brands lost to Bull by 3, didn't Joseph lose to him by 3 also? Brands=Joseph
Without even looking, he has wins over 2018 AAs Seth Gross and Chad Red along with at least 2 other 2018 NCAA qualifiers. Note I don't think he's a star by any means but I do think people are overly negative about him.
It's good for the young man to have such goals.

Impressive win by Cash. Sounds like he was very active.
Solid win for Wilke. He looked gassed at the end, he had the match in the bag so this may have played into.

In all seriousness, if It’s true Nelson didn’t get coached by Terry and Tom while growing up, then he will be an absolute force his final two years.
P2 with two TDs and a 2NF in the third to make it close.
I think he will be a force his last 3 years at Iowa....just not sure which weight class it will occur at. Give him a full year in the wrestling room and there is a very good chance he could take over the 157 spot next year....if he is able to get back down to 157.

Brands held up really well. Shoulda been able to finish his td. I'm optimistic on him for next season.
Which weight next year, 57? How did he look in size compared to Bull?
Nelson didn't start wrestling til 6th grade I believe. Hasn't had the 1000's of matches most kids at this level have. He will keep improving greatly the next couple years.
Nelson should just make the JR World Team this coming off season and win a medal to qualify himself for a 2020 Olympic redshirt, and extending his effective eligibility by 1 year.
I’m sure both guys have really been busting their *sses and believe they should be the guy. Neither guy could break the others will. Glossers a tough SOB good for him and Young. Same goes for Murin and Turk. We fans would love for our starters to blow the doors off their in room competition, but the competition had other ideas. Sounds like a lot of Hawks came to scrap, can’t ask for more than that.

Bull looked a lot bigger than Brands imo. Brands taller but Marinelli has tree trunks for thighs.
