Kriener with a good finish to the half, but wth was he doing on that last possession? He could get a mid range fade-away any time he wants but shot with way too much time left on the shot clock

Dang. Would have been a big bucket by Kriener there.

Barkari should have recognized the clock and drove hard on the secondary break. About 40 seconds left, get the 2 for 1

I am actually pretty okay being down only 5 at half. I thought it was going to be worse, especially with the lineup on the floor.

I get that Fran wants to sit guys with 2 fouls until half but that really bit us. Pemsl... whatever. Toussaint, good call. Garza doesn't foul. He can be trusted to play.

Announcer's keep talking about the minnesota run at the end of the half. It's amazing how easy it is to go on a run when the ref's take the opposing team's star player out of the game with two ticky-tack offensive fouls within a minute of each other.

Kreiner playing well and he at least isn’t afraid to shoot. Not every one is going to go in. Him and Garza de the only ones not shooting tentatively. Connor. Pemsl. Weiskamp and Evelyn look like they need an invitation to put up a shot.

Can't win with Weiskamp playing like this. He's supposed to be an all big 10 player and can't do anything.
He's not moving at all off the ball.

No real freedom to move off screens, and no hard cuts to break open to have space to shoot.

Everything is catch.....look to drive a bit, and get closed off.....then casually pass it out after burning about 5-7 seconds of the shot clock.

Try the f*** harder than you're already trying........thank you, Iowa. We appreciate it.

Laughable Oruro plays all half banging and challenging everything. Garza gets a post up offensive foul and moving screen (which was total bull crap).

This is why I’m so in favor of phasing out human refs and using technology. These games are so controlled by subjective elements. That goes for us getting benefit at times too.

They just look tired, not hustling, not rebounding, lazy passes. Our offense is back to Utohff's senior year, nobodies cutting hard, dribbling with a purpose just dribble around and hopefully the star player bails you out.

Oturu has had a bad game. Minny shooting so-so from 3pt line. Close enough that Iowa can still steal a road win, if Garza stays out of foul trouble in 2nd half and somebody steps up from 3pt line.

What a disappointing game from Wieskamp so far. With guys injured he really needed to step up. Instead he’s not being aggressive or even looking for his shot.

The good news: Wieskamp will be back next year

The bad: does it even really matter?

I'm not that far into that narrative but he is too inconsistent and not clutch minus the crazy bank in vs Rutgers, great piece to have but today is a game he needs to step and take over.

The crap part about is that instead of POSSIBILITY having Garza foul out and having reduced minutes at the end of the game, you sit him and GUARANTEE that he misses minutes.

Wieskamp is really good when there’s no pressure to be the first or second option. I’m sure he’ll be great if Garza, Bohannon, and Fredrick are all back
