I think it's part of what SC is doing too. Trying to take away the outside shot and giving up the drive to the lane where they have a couple of shot blocking giants standing waiting for them. Might be a place to take mid range jumpers but Iowa is also trying to draw fouls as well. Iowa just needs to recognize when the layup isn't there in transition and pull the ball back rather than putting up a ridiculous shot that won't go in.
