*****S Carolina vs Iowa (W) Game Thread*****

Well today's feed was about as vomit educing as I figured it would be. Nothing but GameCocksucker garbage, interviews with staley, and questions about CC's legacy.

staley is an intriguing character. did she really say that guys should be able to play with girls in the college ranks?

Yes bc no one cares about this outside old white straight guys who live in bum**** nowhere. I promise you the girls on our team don’t care about it either, they’re very pro LGBT rights. If you don’t believe me, follow them on socials.

but what if the guy playing is a straight white guy and just wants to play with girls - maybe get in the locker room later?

They support biological males playing women's D1 sports?
Considering I've seen several of them post about how gross/disappointing anti-trans legislation is, yes, I'd suspect they don't really care. Many of our players (and staff) are out and proud lesbians btw (Jan Jensen, Raina Harmon, Monika Czinano, Kate Martin, Ava Jones, Kennise Johnson -- to name a few) it'd be pretty bizarre if they were "Rights for LGB but not T" people.

So, she wasn’t getting lazy with the ball at any point tonight?
Thank you. Seriously thank you for once again opening your mouth and making my point. Best player in the modern era of womens basketball, and the driving machine behind the growth of the game, and the ONLY things you ever post is when she makes a mistake. Couldn't possibly be a smaller person then someone who ONLY focuses on the few things someone does wrong.

I'm still thinking about Iowa's shooting. Stuelke blew an easy layup and missed two FTs. Marshall missed a wide open three, Affolter missed two wide open threes, Martin missed three decent 10-15 footers, and Clark missed just about everything. If Stuelke makes the layup and FTs, Affolter makes just one of her threes, and Martin makes just one of her shots, that puts Iowa in the lead going to the last two minutes, even with Clark hitting nothing.
You must be right, no doubt about that. Next please explain how Clark had 30 points, and scored the most points EVER in any single quarter in NCAA tourney history, (18 in the first), and yet according to you "Clark missed just about everything"? Is this the NEW math?

I'm obviously not talking about the first quarter. Hell, I'm not even referring to the second quarter. Despite the overwhelming rebounding advantage SC had, and a few bad Iowa turnovers (Clark at the end of the first half) Iowa would have been right there at the end with only a few more open makes in the second half. It sucks they got cold. Regarding Caitlin specifically, after the first quarter she missed 20 shots. If she only misses 17 or 18, Iowa is right there at the end. SC's made threes didn't help, either. Iowa needed them to shoot a bit worse than they did.

😘

Now…should we get back to Nate’s 9,000 yards passing?
