From a B1G standings perspective, things are getting tight. Nebbie’s loss to Northwestern is Nebbie’s 7th B1G loss ... tied with Iowa in loss column. Illinois on verge of getting to within one game of Iowa but reducing Indiana’s lead over Iowa to a single game.

Same here. With the way their guy was dealing today, I would have never guessed Iowa was going to win a 1-0 ballgame. Hats off to these kids. Coach Heller has them playing really well.

Denholm is a very good pitcher but he’s right handed.

Couldn’t agree more about the comment about “keeping cool.” UCI had plenty of scoring opportunities but Iowa’s pitching and defense kept composure and dodged the bullets.

Can’t wait to get back to the ballpark today. A sweep would be an amazing result.
