USA Today: Caitlin will not be selected for Olympic Women's Basketball Team

Best PG in the WNBA.

And not on the Olympic team.

Click on "si.com" to take you to the story.

I get so sick of these posts (not yours Fran). Posts that glorify her assists. I'd like to see the compilation tape of all the bunny's and wide open 3's that have been missed. All the fumble****s by the Fever. How many To's attributed to CC22 because Edward Scissorhands?

CC22 should be averaging 15 APG. Her team sucks.

I would still rather see Caitlin get a nice, restful vacation than play in the Olympics. There will be other Olympics. She needs a break now.

She's exhausted. Needs that week off she spoke of in her presser
Where I come down on this is Team USA is dumb for not finding a way to get her on the roster, and there is no possible way she could say no if asked. With that being said, if she is not asked and they do not find a way to get her one the team, she will benefit from the rest and ability to practice with her teammates. I just hope she doesn't come back rusty, but she doesn't seem like the kind of person who lets rust happen.

On April 12 four-time Gold Medalist Lisa Leslie was spot on.

A lot of people nationally and on this site (you know who you are) look awfully silly and I find it hilaaaaaaaaaaaarious

Aja and her fans are in for a long month

Fooling themselves if they think that women's basketball fans internationally don't know who CC is. At the Big Ten tournament on one day I ended up sitting next to a couple of women(probably the kind that drive Subarus and are just big basketball fans) that flew in from Canada just to watch her play. They didn't give a rat's behind about Iowa basketball aside from Clark. I know Canada isn't international in the sense of what the Twitter post means, but she isn't just a USA-based phenomenon. We've seen several different European news stories on her over the past year.

Yes. You said it better than I did. The team was incredibly dumb and short-sighted to leave her off. But the time off would be beneficial. Just would rather she got the spot on Team USA

I don't know if declining would be a good idea.
Clark has been a role model up to this point and could start turning people against her, especially players that root for her now.
The Coach (Reeve) has shown distain for her and probably not play her enough anyway
Other than DT, apparently, you only get so many opportunities. The powers that be already took one chance from CC in her prime.

If they aren't already, players are going to get really tired of answering questions about her.

I like Colin a lot better as a Clark supporter than a hater of our football team.

he truly does knock this discussion out of the park

I am not a soccer fan but it was interesting having him compare the pettiness in men's soccer to the pettiness in women's basketball

I love, too, how Colin reminds everyone that Caitlin always says the right thing at the podium. This is part of the reason the companies she endorses love her and will keep doing business with her.
