It’s not hyperbole to say we are witnessing the worst offense in modern college football history. They need to do an article to see how many points they’ve given up versus how many they’ve actually scored. I guarantee they’re in the red

This is on the coaches for not playing Padilla at all
Exactly. You haven’t played Alex all season, but expect him to come in and be successful at the Shoe? My gawd. If you weren’t going to pull Petras after the first half of that SDSU game, might as well ride it out the rest of the year.

Seriously. When it comes to quarterbacks and offense, Kirk is an idiot.

Receiver should have caught that.

LaPorta should have caught that.
It would have been a tough catch. He had to really stretch just to get one hand on it. But that was at least at our pass catcher as opposed to directly at the defense like Petras’s two INTs.

Padilla led the receiver a bit too much but the ball shouldn’t have been picked - pretty unfortunate - unlike both of Petras’ which were thrown directly to the players in red

The INT was on Laporta. Hit him in the hands. He has to catch it.

Everyone knows Iowa can't protect the QB long enough to throw over top. No one respects getting beat over the top so it makes it even harder to make those 5 yard passes. That ball led by maybe 1ft...not off by much, but two guys defending.

Padilla wasn't any better than Spencer last year. Why would he be an upgrade this year? Put in Joey and build for next year because this year is in the t

Maybe because Petras is so much worse this year than he has ever been.

Why not go with the thrown punts though?

Padilla still puts too much zip on his passes. Something Petras had to have beaten out of him as well, not that it's helped.......
Could be true but on that play it was a tight window and needed some zip. Hit LaPorta right in the hands. A little in front but absolutely catchable
