He’s always gonna be open. His shot does not need to be defended. He’s proven that every year.

I think he is probably seeing more minutes with KM out and maybe experience? But it's a huge liability having him out there if he can't shoot. He does bring toughness but no offensive game whatsoever

Yeah, I laughed when they said he’s a good shooter…Connor does several things that I like, his shooting is not one of them.

With every passing game, I get more and more excited about this year's team. They play hard and great defense. With some experience, I really think this team could make an NCAA run.

Ulis played great defense on Ivey and created a ton of open looks for himself. Needs to finish some plays. He fit in, imo

Whenever people think about dishonest officiating, think tonight. Purdue is mugging on defense, like they've been doing for since Gene Keady arrived. There have been multiple obvious fouls not called. On the other hand Iowa is called for touch fouls. Love to read the rule that makes it a foul to be elbowed in the head or neck area because you are applying close ball pressure. If that is a real rule then we've got consistency problems with the whole purpose of having those head and neck rules at all.

Connor does a lot of little things , an awfully good passer normally, a solid defender…just not a scorer consistently. He played a lot more earlier in his career as much due to a thin Iowa bench in the frontcourt as anything else I’ll agree.
be fair thou, he’s played more than usual tonight because of the major foul trouble we’ve been in. His minutes have been done a great deal this year prior to this game.

Iowa won’t run into a team that they have to send to the line to shoot 21 free throws because they have a 7’4 big man and all conference senior big man coming off the bench. Play defense like this and we will be in every game
This is another example of why refs should have to face public criticism for blatant favoritism toward one team. It’s obvious they’ve been told to make sure Purdue gets all the close calls,
