*****Iowa vs Creighton Game Thread*****

Stop with the constant complaining about the refs, please. It’s annoying.

Use the ignore button then if you don’t like it. The game started out anything but consistent for the first 10 minutes. Fouls leveled out some in the last 10 minutes, but certainly kept Iowa from jumping out to a decent lead.

Did not love the end of half strategy…. Had a chance to call a TO and set up an actual play, instead we chose to run kind of long-shot. That 2-3 points could be huge. I wish the staff understood these things.

Also, when you’ve got #8 Creightin on the ropes, you don’t HAVE to play all of your rotation. Stick to what’s working and give the starters time off the next blowout.

Thank you for the advice, boss.

Does Perkins frustrate anyone else or is it just me?

He still seems very inconsistent and takes bad shots and makes stupid mistakes.
I was hoping he would have become more consistent and a leader by now.
Always. He can jump stop from the elbow or 12 feet in the lane but that’s it. Little offensive game to speak of.

Such a cvnt.

In Fran’s defense in rotations fouls forced his hand a bit. He barely played Harding, rode Bowen who was running the offense.

End of half plays can’t argue with, I expected more on that in bounds.

Agreed first 10 minutes were really imbalanced call wise. It’s ok to point that out.

I’ve just always thought he looks like he’s playing just on the wrong side of out of control, if that makes sense. When he holds it barely together, he can be great, but many times he’s kind of tripping over his own feet or flailing around. I appreciate what he is and what he’s done, but I honestly think he plays this way all the time.
