ISU coach is focused on defense. Fran doesn't give a crap about defense. Games like this turns out if you
are as unathletic as Iowa, you can't defend and you can't score. There is no Garza or Murray brothers to
carry the team.
Somehow I don't think any of Iowa State's players are farm boys.

I will say like most years just the pure speed and athleticism difference is amazing
He seems to be somewhat of an offensive liability. Doesn't really shoot and often overdribbles into trouble.

Nah. Iowa is not playing well right now. They're even worse defensively than normal. Can't make a run if you can't get stops.
He's really good at going for the block shot and not coming close and taking himself out of position to block out for the rebound.

Agreed. Freeman is guilty of the same. Difference is that Freeman is a freshman and does sometimes get the block.
If 30 points in the paint in a half isn't an argument for playing zone, I don't know what is. You rebound like shit in man to man so playing zone will have little impact on that.

This is an NAIA team at best. It's not B1G-calibur. It's not. It's embarassing. The Fran experiment has to end sooner than later or you'll see Lickliter-era crowds in Carver next year.
Thats not fair, he's good at being 6'9" and offering no interior help defense either.
McCaffery needs to go and Iowa needs to hire DeVries from Drake IMO. FM is not a very good coach, and this team should not be this bad.
To be fair, it is. I'm not as upset about the team playing poorly as I am with the veterans playing poorly. Young guys playing bad is understandable.
This is actually a rebuilding year. First year in awhile without Garza or a Murray.
The passes when teammates are not looking have not been common with Fran teams. Yet we’ve seen a lot of it between Purdue and at isu
If a team plays defense, there's not a big need for a rebuilding year.
Hawkeyes have a lot of native Iowans with slow twitch muscles that play under the rim and don't like physical contact.. ISU roster mostly out of state.
He looked like a totally different player out there tonight. Must have been some pretty bad jitters.
Yes, he leads the nation in possessions where he brings the ball down the floor, dribbles it for 15-20 seconds, then takes a shot without making a single pass
