Gonna be a long year. We have no center and will get destroyed by teams that do.

It starts ith the Frontline being the worst defensive/rebounding group in college B-ball.


No post defense with Krikke---he's undersized at center and prefers offense. He found the perfect coach in Fran.

PMAC is the worst rebounder/defender at the SF in B1G. He is good at basket hanging and converting on fast breaks.

Sandfort is not a PF but if Fran put his at Small forward he would be competing with PMAC for playing time which means he would spend most of the time on bench.


I don't think this is a 0.500 B1G team. Defense is awful. 3pt shooting is streaky. Defensive rebounding is as bad as it gets.

When the game is way out of reach like this time to focus on doing 1 thing right for the rest of the minutes that the top 7-8 get. I say defending the perimeter would serve them better the rest of the season.

The only time pmac gets a rebound is when it bounces outside of the paint to him. He'll never go into a scrum
and compete like a man for a rebound.

When your head coach only cares about offense and making sure his kids play as much as possible, this is what you get.

He's going to have a tough time. The game is played so much differently now than it was 20 years ago. A big, slow space eater is not a commodity in todays NBA.. Likely college POY to not making a roster.

Krikke might be the big man most lacking in defense that Iowa's had in a while. And that's saying something. Clearly he's playing out of position, but still the absence of rebounding and post D presence is clear.
