The refs changed the tide of the game which led to the end result that is my take. Could we be better - sure always - but we did not need the crappy refs.
Rather them lose one now than say...during the B1G Tourney or NCAA. Time to bounce back like last year vs Maryland

That seems to happen a lot in women's basketball, just my opinion. It's almost unwatchable at times.
We had several bad TOs during that run that were low % passes...
That really hurt. Man alive we could have been well ahead of where we needed to be to win the Big Ten. Now tied.
It is tough to battle OSU and the refs.
Unfortunately to beat teams like this that are head and shoulders better down low we need the calls to be fair and consistent. That’s a tall order in women’s basketball.
Touchy fouls on one side, mugging on the other with no call. I also thought McMahnon continually was commiting offensive fouls.
The refs stopped the run Iowa was on to blow the game wide open but there's still a ton of things they needed to do better to prevent that from happening. Oh well, losing to a top 20 team on the road isn't the worst thing that can happen. Having a wake up call headed into february could really help. I wouldn't want to be whoever plays Iowa next.
Yeah, it happens. Feel bad for Hannah going 1-4 down the stretch on FT's, but hell, even CC missed a couple.
Hannah also bricked some easy layups, but she does that now and again.

Hannah needs to get back in the gym ASAP and practice shooting free throws and layups. She missed way too many today.

Seems like the bench should be utilized a little more. Still can’t figure out why mccabe never sees the floor. Some experience would be beneficial, she’s going to need to be a key player next year and could be towards the end of this season with minutes. Jmo

A shame Iowa let that 12 point lead get away, but better to lose today than in March. Refocus, regroup. It’ll be OK.

I think the narrative of white/black was put into play after the national championship rivalry with LSU. She made comments about not wanting to play for our fans I recall due to it. I wish these college kids were smarter and could understand the impact of social media but it didn't help us at all in that specific scenario. Again, it was all driven by LSU/Angel Reese and Iowa fans responses to her. She's hurt us in more ways than one. I don't know if Betts ever really considered Iowa or vice-versa but it didn't help.
I’m not saying Iowa lost because of the officials, plenty of other reasons, but they were absolutely horrible.

82-79 under a minute, I believe, and #32 misses a 5 footer. Kate Martin nearly gets the rebound before sloth grabs it back.
Game is over if she secures that rebound. Game felt weird even when Iowa had a sizable lead in the 4th.

That was the rumor but I’m not so sure. I think Bluder wanted what was on her roster to replace MC. If Betts came she would have lost 1 maybe 2 players in Goodman and AOG.
