*****Iowa (w) vs Ohio St Game Thread*****

I thought Iowa looked flat today. I thought the game was also a fairly slow paced game, which Iowa is not great at.
I think Iowa recognized Ohio State's bigs were a problem and were able to successfully neutralize them for the 3rd quarter. In trying to do that they went away from the distance shooting they usually do and never really went back to it. They ended up going to Ohio State's strength. This could have been a result of how Ohio State was defending them as well. Even Caitlyn wasn't looking for the 3 in the second half as much and was driving the lane.

I saw another video where she was being helped off by two teammates into the locker room. It didn't look good but hopefully it's nothing serious. The way people are talking though, it's not promising visually. Hope it's not true though.
Ohio State better be praying for a bruise and not a twisted knee. If there is a serious injury out of this they are going to see a pretty significant fine.

You can’t blow a 12 pt lead in the 4q. A meltdown like that makes me think this teams ceiling is lower than last years.
Possibly. We had more meltdowns by this time a year ago though. The season is a marathon and it’s tough to be at your best every single game. If I could pick a time for my season to go into a valley (assuming we will come up out of it), it would be now. Let this be what makes this team come together and be even better.

Dumb comment. Up 12 in 4Q on road against top 20 team. You know “exposed.”

Just a dumb and shitty comment.

OSU played the best game of the 21st century at home in a huge hyped game and got big help from stripes in 2Q and 4Q to even stay in the game.
I actually think OSU is better than their rating. Didn't they have some key players in and out earlier in the year. I believe they're all healthy now and were at full strength today.

Yes, 100% It's magnified by the fact that it's the sports gravy train in question here. What really pisses me off is that woman just went about her business afterwards. I know she can't do anything but at least go back and try to amend the situation the best you can. It's the decent thing to do. Instead, she just carried on...

I like your attitude.

Matt Painter said a couple weeks back that someone was going to get hurt with these court stormings. Don't think anyone was thinking it might happen in a women's game but unfortunately it looks like it did. Well past time for the Big Ten to take control of the situation.
I'm not sure what can be done about it. You can't put fences around the stands. I guess you can fine the shit out of places that let it happen but people just don't care about those things. About the only way to address it is to redesign stadiums to make it impossible to charge the floor but that causes all sorts of other problems.

They gave the road map to beat us. Pound inside and Iowa can’t do a damn thing to stop it. Clark can get hers but limit everyone else and we are beatable. Period.

Wait until a fan or player get seriously hurt and there are legal consequences. I bet someone figures it out pretty quickly at that point.

All schools need to be better prepared when there could be rushing the court and first make sure the away team is safely escorted back to the locker room.

I mean, you aren't saying anything nobody didn't know already. Ohio State is just the first team since KSU to actually have success with this. Not many teams will be able to do this against them. Unfortunately, they will still have to find a way to beat those few teams that can if they want to win a national championship.
