MSU can't handle this pace. If Hawks keep the offense rolling I the second half, they'll win.
I'd still go zone but you can't do that. Not sure what Ulis saw.
It was Ulis that was out of position. Connor had to try and cover for his mistake. Even the announcers pointed it out.
I have criticized Sanfort for his D, but Ulis is just as bad. Unfortunately, we don't have anyone that I would call a good D player.
Would be nice to have Joe T over Ulis. Really miss his help D
MSU shooting 75% from 3 and 64% overall. Yep, Sandfort is killing us.
Anyone know why we haven't tried to press a little more after made baskets?

Iowa repeatedly had chances to extend a lead past 5.
Instead, it was a 4-5 point swing the other way.

Joe is also averaging 9.7 points per game.
Hawks with 16 3s in the 1st half… just doesn't seem like a winning recipe with that many attempts in a half… like asking Spencer to throw it 35 times a game
The mere presence of Iowa's defense provides an immediate boost to opposing teams' shooting percentages, home or away.
If MSU's shooting rating as a team was an 81, playing Iowa automatically boosts that to an 87..................garbage defense.

Most points MSU has scored in a half this year. Again...they can't handle this scoring pace.
I think Fran was expecting Bowen to be more developed by now and it just did not work out this year
Iowa just had to play a little bit of defense to win this, which means hoping MSU goes a little cold with wide open 3 attempts or missed layups.
Well, when your only real inside presence is an undersized center, and the rest of your lineup couldn't cross up a 3rd grade girls team wearing roller skates...................you tend to settle for a lot of 3s.
Yikes. Our defense is ****ing terrible. They just blow right by us every time.
Two different MSU players slap / smack Ulis down to the ground, no call. Official is 5 feet away. Nothing. Just strange.
