Woods out quickly. 1-1. Less than a minute to go. Woods in deep again but McNeill with a crotch lock. McNeil locks up a cradle and gets 4 NF. Wins 7-1.
Why can woods no longer finish shots?
Fing crime, guy made one offensive move in 7 fing minutes. These refs are pieces of shit. Woods gets caught on his offense.

Iowa can't beat North Carolina. Lost two heartbreakers to them on last second takedowns. Grrr
That kid did absolutely nothing for 6.5 minutes. Disgusting.
One shot the entire match and he got the warning early but no point. Refs are criminals
Fricking Real gets in on a great shot then just lays there and let's himself get cradled. It's like he just wanted to be done or something. Unreal.
Woods wasn't the same guy this season. Sometimes the window of opportunity isn't open long.
Woods doesn't finish across for the double leg TD and instead cracks it down, just like Rathjen, and ends up being put in a cradle just like Caleb.
When Iowa finally figures out not to crack down and give up inside position for cradle it will be a miracle.

Guy does ZERO the whole damn match and is rewarded by a counter move he does in the last few seconds on the aggressive wrestler.

Senior year regression is quite common across the sport
When Woods can't get a takedown in the 1st period it seems he always loses.
Woods looks so damn small for the weight . Just seems to get bullied at times.
I have heard Real is just the most amazing, classiest human. Never heard a bad word about him. I've also heard for some time he has been more interested in mma.

Are we really going to blame the refs on Woods loss?? It’s not exactly like he was pushing the pace like Desanto.
Woods and Kennedy lost to NC guys that did nothing, hung around the entire match to steal at the end. Our old 133 natty champ had something to do with that!
Scored off of Real’s shot. We desperately need to improve our scrambling ability. That should 100% be a focus in the off season. I don’t care if they work on anything else. Being able to scramble gives you leeway if you don’t take the best shot. It’s an issue and it’s bit us again. Damn

Well no title for Woods. Will he bounce back and finish strong or call it good.
I did not want to comment on this until after the tournament, but the officiating is criminal and it’s not just Hawkeye matches.
I thought Real showed great effort, just couldn't quite finish. It's one where opponent 'body type' and some game planning (including much stalling) beat us....again.
Until Tom shakes up the coaching staff, this will always be a weak spot. Scrambling and finishing shots have been an issue for way too long.

I've given up on stalling ever really being a thing. So just have to win despite guys using that tactic
Fix got a stallmate in about 5 seconds when Frost was improving but they just let that UNC kid work for 30 seconds without calling a stallmate. It's the inconsistency on calls that is so frustrating.

Askren blatantly states on FRL all the time that Iowa never practices these situations. Says it so often it seems factual. Ironside keeps wondering why we always make things so hard on ourselves finishing takedowns.
I’d also like to see that. I need to see psu crying about loosing to someone stalling. Makes me feel better about myself really!
Oh I hope you find it. I guess I didn’t see it coming and I was like wtf is this. Tantrum is exactly the word to describe it too.
