Yeah, we had one last year against Penn State. 3:00 to go in game on their 35. Run a play. Take a knee next two plays. Taylor punts inside the 5. That’s our two minute offense.

That was some quality offensive performance by Petras with his supporting o-line cast. He probably doubled or tripled his qbr from game 1.

There’s nothing wrong with ball control offense. A weak run game with an inaccurate, turnover prone QB is not controlling the ball.
So Petras gives us the best chance to win? What does that say about our backups? How will we know if we never see them.
Here's how I see it ending. Iowas State sticks with passing and wins thie game 13-7. We are that inept on O.
No other QB on our roster can be this ****ing terrible. Just try a change to see what happens. That's all we are asking
I don't know what the f I just watched but I can only assume it will be even better in a driving rainstorm.
On the otherhand, if KF pulls the plug on Petras in 2nd half, it means it is an open QB competition at that point and KF hates open QB competition. One thing clear is Petras stinks and didn't make that step up that some thought was possible.
Charlie Jones has four times the touchdowns (through six quarters) of Iowa's entire offense. Charlie Jones has more receiving yards through six quarters than Iowa's offense has total yards through six quarters.
